Ok What's the difference between the two? Most people I ask say they are both undeserved favor. But if they are the same thing, why do we say Grace and Mercy? Why does the Bible say Grace and Mercy?....Two different names must be two different things. Right?
Grace is an action, mercy is an intention.
A balerina
gracefully leaps into the air, and smoothly lands on her toes some distance away- with great control and precision.
I see an ant on the sidewalk, and gracefully, and purposely, pass my foot over it so as not to crush it. (But any bugs who enter my home get the death penalty lol)
The death angel gracefully passed over the houses of the Israelites who painted the blood on thier doors.
God's wrath will gracefully pass over those who have His Son's blood on the doors of their hearts.
Chirst's blood is grace- it is the action applied to save us. The question is why? And the answer is mercy.
He chooses to have mercy on those who strive to obey Him.
