I thought it might be interesting to start up a discussion on how or if the relationship between parent and child changed for you when the child became an adult.
For example:
Even though I always loved my parents, as a teenager, I was convinced that they were determined to keep me from having any fun, that they didn't remember what it was like to be young, and that they were just old-fashioned. I am now 25 and for about 5 years now, I've considered my parents to be two of my favorite people in the world and almost more friends than parents now. I love them dearly and can see now that they always had my best interests in mind.
Anyone else have any stories? Any parents want to tell it from the parental stand point?
