Thanks for the offer but do you know about Covered California issues? That would be nice since the Covered California people don't
Like : why do I have to pay for child medical coverage when we don't have children? It's included on every policy they offer. One rep said it shouldn't be, another rep said it's in all policies but included for free, when we all know the insurance companies aren't going to offer ANY coverage free (which means we're paying for coverage we can't use).
Then there was the issue about the website not allowing me to edit/update information.
Then, once a rep updated the information for me, he also (without my approval or notice) signed us up for our existing coverage to continue next year - When technically you can't sign up for any coverage until Nov.1, and we don't want to keep that coverage. The rep also signed us up for a county program we don't qualify for, again with no notice or approval from us.
Too, open enrollment is Nov 1 to Jan 31, but they say if we don't decide by Nov 7 they will automatically renew us to our existing coverage. Then somewhere else it says they will auto enroll us on Dec 15.
And now we're locked out of their system (so we can't shop and compare) until (supposedly according to yet another rep) November 1, at which time we should (again supposedly) be able to change our coverage.
The inmates are running the asylum!
