It's a testimony more to the fact her marriage was a cheap, soulless union based on mutual political interest. She stayed in it for career advancement and nothing more.

That's how she'll spin it though and it might work. I hope that is the point you are trying to make and not that you are actually drinking her cool aid.

If she succeeds it will be because she is not some archetype of the American woman, but a politically calculative harpy with good staff and a man you could loosely call a husband who happens to be the most popular American president alive today.

Today, I had the privilege of speaking with someone who worked in the Clinton White House who had personal interactions with Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Tipper Gore, and other characters from that administration.

According to them, Tipper was great and Bill was...tolerable. If you were a staffer, he treated you pretty well. Al was a self-centered prig. And Hillary? A heartless lunatic. To her, people were tools for advancement or enemies.

I trust this person's judgment. I mean I dated family member of Al Gore's who was none too fond of the man and heard similar descriptions from her.

Come to think of it, Hillary seemed pretty Stalinesque in her description.
