S
HEEEEEEY!
Nice to meet you! I'm one of the New kids on the Block thought I would take the chance to say Hello
Funny thing about entering new Christian communities:
Yesterday I brought my sister with me to my church of 3 and a half years (it's technically pentecostal) me and my sis were raised catholic. Funny how when a person is introduced to the members of a church community you get so many different responses....
Now my sister Pulled a Juno on my Conservative Portuguese family and got pregnant at age 16. Although It goes against my value system of abstaining from sex before marriage ,this was an opportunity to extend the same love and grace God gave to me when I started a relationship with him. I'm so relieved that the Bible talks about how it's not our job to go around judging or condemning people .Instead we are to love. Now i introduced my sister to a old man in my church community who proceeded to bombard her with questions of whether she was married (asked this twice)...or whether she was divorced(also asked this twice)....Resulting him displaying an obvious expression of disgust. I interceded This completely threw my sister off. She suddenly felt uncomfortable and wouldn't even take my nephew to kids church alone stating "Why would i go by myself? So people can ask me more stupid questions?"
Mother Teresa Stated "if you judge someone you have no time to love them" <3
When new people walk into God's house Don't try and size them up...
LETS STOP FOCUSING ON:
Whether the new couple living together is married...
Whether the new guy is Gay ...
The fact that the new girl's skirt is too short ...
And instead ask OURSELVES am I displaying the LOVE and GRACE of CHRIST to this person?
Conviction will come to them through the spirit, and rebuking they will receive once their in relationship with people who are living for God. Just Pray for them,it goes a long way.
I look forward to experiencing fellowship with you-Stay Blessed
