Yes it's fine. In all things use common sense. Tattoos of naked bodies or or anything blatantly sacreligious is not cool. If you want to get a star on your ankle or whatever it is then go for it. Christians as a whole worry too much about topics like this. Tattoos aren't going to send you to hell. If you want one then get one, it is not going to hurt anyone, i cant think of a verse that says not too. So why worry yourself?

I am getting one for my 18th birthday. Its going to be on my ankle
it's going to be a charm anklet with a Tinker bell with a rose behind her back.I'm
getting this because of the memories of going to Disney world with my family (tink)and my moms rose gardens (the rose).
I can also add to it. Like when I get married and when I have kids.

theres this other thing that came into my mind .... in 1 Corinthians 6:19 ... it is said "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit" .... so i dont think we should mess up our body with those kind of wierd tattoos and stuff.

you have to take the context of the verse. It's talking about sexual immorality: 15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh."[b] 17But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. 18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

So it really has no bearing on tattoos. And the physical body is fairly unimportant since when we die we are reborn with glorified bodies...

were not talking about prostitutes .... its TATTOOS! TATTOOS! very simple to understand , thats the topic even! and theres very logical theory that in future theres something called anti christ and it will have the world order where every human will be marked with 666 on them, so its very similar to this tattoo thing ,

SO........... tattoo shud be avoided

really its tattoos really? could have fooled me. Se i was referencing your quote of 1st corinthians 6:19 which is the your body is a temple verse. You tried to tie it into tattoos or what not. I was showing you that the verse you used was dealing with sexual immorality and not tattoos.

A little reading comprehension goes a long way pal...

YES TATTOOS and don't have any other translation for that !! what i meant was where i typed our body is temple of god , it is meant to be clean , which basically refers to all kind of earthly fantasizing stuff .....

No that whole verse and section is sexual immorality...getting a tattoo doesnt make you unclean. If it did, then you shouldnt drink sodas, eat fried foods, eat candy, etc because it is unhealthy and may harm your body. Also haircuts are defacing the temple, I mean if God had wanted us to have short hair it wouldnt constantly grow would it? Seriously for a christian website some people here are far too sheltered and closeminded. If you want a tattoo GET A TATTOO. Surely everyone here is at least capable or determining appropriate from inappropriate tattoos?

another thread on this ugh! read the other threads on this. No a tattoo is NOT wrong, yes it IS okay. I have 4 of them, and honestly I have grown CLOSER to God. Look up some history on tattoos and what they were and meant back in the Bible days. In fact, tattoo is a man made word, I'm not going to explain all of this all over again, read it yourselves for once. Look in the Bible, it says in Revelations that in His thigh it will be written King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There's also a verse somewhere that says our names are written or ''tattooed'' on the palm of His hand.

i cant think of a verse that says not too.
Leviticus 19:28

No, I do not believe a tattoo would revoke your salvation... but the big questions IMO are what kind of tattoo, why do you want it, and where would you put it? If someone or something other than God is glorified through your answers then you may want to rethink it carefully.
