Matt,
Each of is traveling a road. And each of us is at a different point along that path. Well, this is obvious stuff.
But when you add to the mix, personalities and communication types ( THIS is a "huge" relational factor often hardly ever even considered), it sometimes seems hostile and difficult to navigate. However, this is the very thing Jesus kept preaching on, and left us here to deal with...... perhaps as preparation for getting along in whatever "Heaven" turns out to be.
We often blissfully speak of Heaven being a place where there will be no differences, and we all will be one big, happy, family. I don't think this is accurate, at all. I think we will still be very much like we are here and now, WITH THE EXCEPTION that we will have, then, been endowed with a much fuller measure of grace to ACTUALLY love one another "despite" our individualities.
I don't think any of us truly has a genuine concept of what LOVE really is yet.... we are just working on it at our own pace, and in our own place.
