The business will flourish if it produces a product or service that CONSUMERS WILL BUY.
So much for the theory that rich people create jobs.
Not mocking, I am praying for your situation.
But it just amazes me when people who support policies that would put them under a bridge are surprised when those policies fail them personally.
The purpose of the thread is to pray that people are uplifted, and find as good, or better employment. Each one of us are employed "at will". Meaning the most vital of worker is free to leave, and possibly greatly hurt, a business whenever they choose for the betterment of themselves, and their families. This HAS happened several times at our facility since I have been there.
BTW, NO ONE was surprised as the product has been faltering for several yrs.
No one cries for the company when a vital employee leaves on their own. This company has handled this layoff as well as anybody. As you said, the product wasn't selling for various reasons. Should the company be forced to continue to spend enormous sums on workers when a product fails?
My grandfather inherited a very thriving blacksmith business at the turn of the last century. He had to shutter the business, lay off workers, and take custodial work. Yet his family never wanted for the essentials.
Thanks for the prayers anyway.
