"Mother is the name for God in the lips and hearts of little children." - William Makepeace Thackeray

When you first hear this saying, you might think it's blasphemy, in it is wisdom.

As God has taught and asked us to come to him like little children. To ask of him and he shall give. To trust in him and he shall be there. To love him and be dependent upon him for everything. Just as a child, being solely dependent and trusting in their parents. Being Completely in love with them, they would seek to honor their mother and father,; doing as they ask to please their parents. Their parents in turn would dote upon them. In a relationship built upon the key element of love.

The nature of a mother is to be loving, nurturing and caring. Slow to anger, quick to forgive. Teaching and guiding, correcting when required. This nature is reflective of God. Yearning to dote upon his children when they do what is right.

Sometimes children don't get this type of mother. Sometimes, mothers don't get these type of children. Or they sway back and forth in action and dedication. Because that is the nature of flesh and the world.

Just like though God asks for his children (us) to believe and trust in him. Just like little children, we stray and do not listen to God and seek to do for ourselves and live our way rather then seek the will and wisdom of our God.

You my mothers and parents can see the wisdom of the words. Because until you and your spouse teach your children about God. Every tear, every cry in the dark and disappointment in the day. Is a cry from a child's lips to god. Every need you meet, you give from your heart without reservation out of love. Sometimes your efforts and love are acknowledged and returned. Sometimes it isn't. Regardless your heart fills with joy and you give everyday. Just like God.

Therefore, in this imperfect world, of imperfect children and parents. On this day I say, happy Mother's Day to you. Mothers know and never doubt how important your role has been and will be to your children all of their lives. I pray Children, know how important it is to acknowledge the love, patience and compassion given by your parents.

I pray this prayer so that in the end, we can all reflect and realize, God IS all as important to everyone's life through the example of perfect love, in a parent child relationship, His love awaits for our acknowledgement and return as a child of God, through the Christ.

Parents turn your hearts to your children, children turn your hearts to your parents.

Love all, Serve all.

Happy Mother Day

Thank you for the Happy Mother's Day recognition.

It is not blasphamy. No one that I know thinks of their mother as God. But mothers, genuine mothers, are godly. The Bible says "faithful instruction is always on her tongue." She "watches over the affairs of her household." She cares about what's going on in your life, and is always there to comfort, guide, and protect. God is love, and God is seen in a mother, and should be seen in every Christian.

You may just be the only Bible some people 'read', mother (or father) them also. Let your godly love overflow from the boundaries of your household. "She extends her hands to the poor." I say to complete strangers "Where's your coat? It's chilly out here." And they say something like "yeah I need to remember it next time." Surely if they said they don't own one, I would find them one, or even give them mine.

Happy Mother's Day to all the godly mothers out there.
