Hey =D Today I was listenin to Tenacious D's "Tribute," because I thought it was one of their clean songs (didn't realize it said the F word 3 times at the end until I saw the lyrics today), and I thought it was just a catchy, funny song. The message of the song is basically this-
"We were talking along the road. A demon popped up and said "play the best song in the world or I'll eat your soul." Ma bro and I look at each other, say "OK" and play the first thing that comes to our heads, and it was the greatest song in the world. The demon was stunned and is like "Are you angels?!?!" and we're like "No, we are but men." THIS isn't the greatest song in the world, this is just a tribute to that song. Ya gotta believe us."
It's really funny, and I love the jibberish part in the middle XD The only problem is that at the end of the jibberish, it says "Mama Lucifer" in the background =/
But yeah, assuming I could find a censored version, I'd still love to listen to it. However, my mom says that she still thinks it's satan's music, and that I shouldn't love this music either. She says she doesn't have a problem with the message of the song, but "She's searching the Spirit of God in her and something about this song doesn't feel right." Is that really a credible reason to stop listening to songs like this (once again, assuming I censor the 3-4 bad words and phrases) once I move out of the house?
