Hi,
This is a testimony about what God's doing in my parents' lives. Both are unbelievers (although they wouldn't call themselves that). They believe that God exists and that Jesus died for our sins, but that the Bible's not 100% accurate (they pick and choose which verses they believe) and that all people as long as they are "good" go to Heaven. They refer to themselves as Christians, but don't know or deny what it means to be a Christian. However, my church is having a service on Friday as well as Sunday, and they have said they are going to come to the Friday service!
I'm a bit concerned about how they'll take the message because the Pastor has already told us that the sermons are in two parts. Friday's is about how we're more sinful than we could ever imagine. Sunday's is about how we're more loved than we can ever imagine and about how great God's grace is. I'm concerned because they might write Friday's sermon off as the Pastor trying to guilt trip them. I trust God to keep calling them, but God calls to everyone and most people reject Him.
But praise God they are planning on coming (and could you pray that they actually do come and that God opens their eyes?)! No one can be saved without seeing that they're a sinner, and God's picked the perfect sermon for them to hear. I pray that He'll use it to lead them to Him!
