It's on Nisan 10 a Passover Lamb is chosen (Ex 12:3).
Passover:
Exodus 12:
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6 And ye shall keep it up until the "fourteenth day" of the same month (Nisan): and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
(NOTE: The passover lamb was killed on Nisan 14 every year. This year Nisan 14 begins at sundown today 3/30/2018. Christ would be crucified tomorrow between 9am & 3pm)
Firstfruits Lev 23:10-11
It was on Firstfriuts, day 3 of the feast that Christ rose from the grave.
The firstfruits/sheaf of the barley harvest was brought to the Temple as a wave/heave offering (Lev 23:9-14).
(NOTE: The Priest would take a sheaf (a bundle of grain stalks laid lengthwise & tied together after reaping) of the firstfruits of the harvest. The priest would lift the sheaf (from his waist straight up before the Lord). This was a shadow of Christ being lifted from the grave)
The waving/heaving up to the Lord of the sheaf/firstfruits/grain bundle, was a dedication before God. And sanctified the whole harvest feild. Christ resurrection sanctified the entire humam race (Rom 11:16) for a future resurrection. Believers to eternal life with the Lord, rejecters to eternal life seperated from the Lord.
Paul also ties the Feast of Firstfruits together by linking Christ's Resurrection to it, Here:
1 Corinithains 15:
20 "But now Christ is risen from the dead" "and has become the firstfruits" "of those who have died".
21 For since by one man (Adam) came death, by one Man (Jesus Christ) also came the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall (Believers) be made alive.
23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming.
Jesus is the Firstfruits to Resurrect from the grave.
Christ brings a firstfruits offering before God here:
Matthew 27:
51 Jesus dies; and behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split.
(NOTE: Old covenant ends right here!)
52 "The tombs also were opened". "And many bodies of the saints who had died were raised",
53 "and coming out of the tombs" "after his resurrection" "they went into the holy city and appeared to many"
(NOTE: These many bodies and seen going into Jerusalem. Are Christ's firstfruit heave/wave offering unto God the Father)
This year Christ would rise 4/2/2018. Having said that any day is a good day to celebrate The resurrection of Jesus the Christ! Amen
