I'm not catholic nor do I use Twitter, but I will say the fact the we are in a technological world the tweets are just another way to reach others. For those who agree with the pope it is a good thing I guess.
It's not different than posting on blogs, facebook or whatever people use these days. Just another way to reach the public.
