My grandmother recently had knee replacement surgery and ever since then has gone downhill. She had her surgery on November 28th and then went to a rehab facility for about a week I think, maybe a little more. She hated it and threw a fit to come home. Well my mom, aunt and I have been having to take turns staying with her because she still can't walk too well at times, other times she can. She gets winded easily and dizzy and her legs are weak because she had been laying down for nearly a month without getting up. So were scared to leave her alone because she don't have any appetite, and even if she did she cant stand long enough to get anything to drink or get herself food, only go few steps to bathroom. Were all so exhausted and it's been three weeks now wev had to take turns staying with her
Were not sure what's wrong, because she just wants to sleep and not do anything to help herself. We think maybe shes given up or something, we really just don't know. She wasn't like this before her surgery and she wasn't even put under. They just numbed her from the waist down for the procedure. She does have a pacemaker, but that's all been checked and fine. Her blood pressure and heart-rate are normal so we have ruled that out. ALso she seems spacey and out there since surgery too. Yes she does take pain medication but no more than two a day. She seems to see things that aren't there and get confused on the days and such. it just has us worried. Were all super worried and stressed and exhausted from having to stay with her so much. Its all we can do to force her outta bed to do her therapy with her leg, I just ask for prayers that God will give her the fighting spirit back and he will help heal her physically as well as mentally and that the dr can find out whats wrong.
