I was raised by a mom and my dad didn't pay child support either. But my mom gave me a continual faith that the Lord would provide what we need and to always look to him. We didn't have a lot of extras, but my basic needs were always met, and the lesson in trusting the Lord was worth far more than any $$ support we would have gotten. My mom never fought for her rights, just kept her eyes on the faithfulness of the Lord. For that I am grateful to her. I passed this lesson on to my kids who in turn have thanked me that the thing they value most that I gave them was to always keep their eyes on the Lord and His care for those who belong to Him.
