You came to a Christian site to propagate contrary views...
views that you knew in advance would be confrontational, argumentative, and upsetting.
Why on earth would I let you play the victim card here, and act like WE are the mean ones, when YOU CAME HERE LOOKING FOR A FIGHT???
The height of absurdity.
You came her, on purpose, looking for debate and controversy.
As soon as you get some, you act like a victim.

I still don't know why atheists keep coming on this forum to argue about a God they don't even think exists.
Seems odd to me.

If he doesn't exist... why are you so threatened by Him that you need to debate all the time?
I don't believe in Santa Claus, but I don't go around trying to debate against him.
People who spend all their time debating and fighting against something they think is imaginary...

The reason atheists debate against a God they feel is imaginary is because so many people believe God to be real. We can both probably agree that Voltron isn't real and neither one of us wastes our time debating the validity of Voltron. However, if there were people around us who sincerely believed Voltron was real, only voted for politicians who supported their views on Voltron, and wanted to teach students how Voltron saved the world, I'm sure both of us would (hopefully) speak out against this imaginary Voltron.
Many people speak out against global warming, claiming it's not real. But if it isn't real, why should they speak out against it? The reason they speak out against it is because it has an effect on our society and how it operates.
Lastly, I'm sure we can both agree that the Koran is anything but an authority on morality. We don't speak out against Islam too much because most of the English speaking people we run into aren't Muslim and Islam has zero power in the United States. But, if the religion of Islam did get its foot in the door in which politicians would start trying to enact Islamic law, would you stay quiet just because you believe Islam is a fairy tale religion? No, you would join people such as myself and point out how Islam is an immoral religion based on make believe.
Hopefully, that answers your question.
It is just like an atheist to come to a Christian place, speak things contrary to what we believe, and then when we speak up and disagree, the atheist immediately plays the "victim" card... and pretends we attacked him.
That is typical, and it's old.

This never happened in this thread and I've never seen Cybertech do this herself. I can understand how you may have misread her post as coming off as such, but she's not saying atheists are victims. She's just explaining honestly why atheists sometimes retaliate in an immature fashion.
In fact, according to site policies, EVERYONE is perfectly welcome up until the point you start expressing views contrary to the core fundamentals of the Christian faith.
Not necessarily.
2. No conduct that is offensive or counterproductive to fellowship.
We like to welcome all to Christian Chat, but if anyone is not here for fellowship (or for wanting to know about Christianity), but simply for disrupting fellowship, offending people, whatever, then that person is not welcome.

Cybertech didn't come in here to try and persuade anyone that God isn't real. She simply explained why atheists act the way they do. And because this thread is regarding atheists, her response is completely relevant to the discussion at hand.
One thing I've noticed is that atheists are allowed to discuss their views relating to threads and posts about atheists or atheism (as long as their views are relevant to the topic). If an atheist makes a thread explaining all the reasons God isn't real, they're trying to dissuade Christians from their faith. This is against the rules. However, if a Christian creates a thread asking why atheists don't believe in God, it's perfectly acceptable for atheists to explain those reasons.
This is one reason I enjoy this website so much. I'm allowed to respond to Christian claims and questions about atheism, because I get the opportunity to defend my own views and the views of other atheists. I'm allowed to spread my beliefs to those who are curious about them. It's okay to be responsive. And I'll admit, I've seen atheist forums that won't even offer this kind of luxury to Christians (that's not necessarily wrong, but it's why I don't partake in such forums).
In short Maxwel, I feel you don't actually pay attention to what many of us atheists post. You automatically come to the conclusion that we're here with the purpose of stirring controversy simply based on the fact that we post openly about our views. You don't take into consideration what our views are or why we posted them. In this case, Cybertech posted why atheists can be jerks in a thread asking why atheists tend to act like jerks towards Christians. She's not challenging Christian views with her post.
