Please pray for me. I suffer from depression/anxiety and OCD. I have chronic doubts about my salvation and fear ending up in the lake of fire. I'm depending on Jesus to save me from that but I still fear it. I don't want to be one of those people that thinks they're saved but they're not.
I'm suicidal and I hate myself and my life. Please pray that God would have mercy on me.
Hello Staci,
I'm sorry you are hurting. There is One, and only one, that knows exactly how much you hurt and exactly how you feel. He knows you intimately...everything about you. He died that you may have life eternal. He does not want you to live in fear, which is why he said,
"fear not," more than anything else. He wants you to have an "
abundant life" and a life full of peace, His Peace; a Peace that passes all understanding.
This Peace is there for you at all times. It is with you now. It comes from God's Spirit that lives in you as his child. Since you accepted Jesus as your Savior there is nothing that can change that. Nothing you do can change that. You are his eternally. Do not think that the dark feelings and thoughts you are having means you are not His, for this would only be a lie.
When you have a dark thought immediately cast it out in Jesus' name. Say, "I cast you out dark thought, in Jesus' name." Then, immediately, start thanking God for all the blessings you can think of. This will get your mind on God and what good things He has done for you. And while you're talking to him why not ask him, "Father, are you there?." Hear him say, "Yes. I am here, Staci." For he is! Ask him, "Do you love me, Father?" Hear him say, "Yes, Staci. I love you." For he does! As him, "Father, will you ever leave me?" Hear him say, "No. Never!" For he never will!
These are promises that God has given those, like you, Staci, who believe on his son Jesus. Those promises will never change. They are forever. All the Lord requires you to do to receive all his promises is as easy and as simple as something can possibly be for a human being, and that to simply "
believe it." Many people struggle with this concept, thinking they must
"do" something to earn it. This is another lie. Don't believe it.
When you sin and you feel bad about it, ask him, "Father, forgive me of my sins." And he will. For he does!
Don't hate your life. God loves you so much he put you on this specific path, a path like none other, to fulfill what he will do in you in your life. It is the path you
need, the path that will bring you closer to Him through you life-walk. Don't throw this unique gift, that God has given, you away. Life is always in flux, always changing. Tomorrow may be a better day, or it may not. No one knows what tomorrow will bring. The only way to find out what's going to happen is to stick around to find out. You may meet the mate you will spend the rest of your life with. The one you may create children with. The one you grow old with. Or, God may have a different path for you. We don't know yet, for hasn't happened.
So remember, don't think on dark things but think on the good things God has done for you and STAND on his promises. They are a firm foundation to build your life on.
"Heavenly Father, I lift Staci up to you. I hold her high in your presence. She is beautiful in your site. She is radiant to you. She is absolutely and totally the way you made her. The life she is in is from you. Father, I ask that Staci will see herself the way You see her. I pray she will never see herself any other way. I pray that this understanding from you will fill her with the confidence and boldness she needs to rebuke the evil one and all his lies. Help her Oh Lord to walk in your light where there is no darkness. Father, we thank you for all you have done for us, Your children, what you are doing, and what you are going to do. You are the Mighty One, the Everlasting, the Prince of Peace, all things are under your feet. Father, help Staci to understand how precious she is to you. Help her to desire not to take her life but to give it over to you, completely, trusting you to save her everyday. We love you Father. You are Good. You are the only Good we have, and it is enough! Yea, more than enough, an abundance of Life, Love, and Saving Grace.
Thank you Father for hearing our prayers. I humbly ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen."
