Up @ 5:30, feed the dogs, off to work, drudgery of meetings spaced with brief flurries of getting stuff done, explained to someone it's Independence Day - the anniversary of being served divorce papers, pick the kids up from their after school care, dinner with the kids, Legos for each of them as gifts (Girl Legos are a Go! Monster Legos, also a Go!), kept the home fire burning (literally, I heat with wood), put the dogs in for the night, dragged my son through his homework (99th percentile IQ, he's not dumb, he's unmotivated to do this stuff), ready the kids for bed and their next day, sang my prince & princess to sleep, remember to pay the mortgage, enrolled in autodraft so I can stop remembering, pack lunches, arrange for more girl scout cookies for my princess to keep selling, talk with a friend, take time to cry when my best divorced friend called to tell me he loves me (Oh, if only all my Christian brothers were like him! You ladies would have nothing to fear. ...And yes, he's now remarried, but not without sitting doing and doing an EXHAUSTIVE Biblical study on divorce & remarriage.) Fell asleep early (Before 1 am). Back up @ 5:30 to do it again.
