Psalm 4:4
Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
Have you ever had someone to give you a heart to heart talk? Sometimes, what they have to say to you isn't easy for them to say, but they say it because they really do love and care for you.
Psalms 4 tells us that we need to cross examine our own hearts. We know when we are doing wrong. And when we do cross examine ourselves, we can find the root of why we do what we do. And when we do talk to our own heart, we can asked for help to clean it out. Help from the Lord and help from our spiritual leaders.
Sometimes we Christian married men have sins that are hidden that we have made a pet out of. Perhaps it might be a secret porn addiction. Perhaps we fantasize of having an affair. These two pets are two poisonous snakes full of venom, ready to strike at any moment.
And if a Christian man does have these two pets hid away in his heart, he needs to find a good Christian counsel to talk to.
The pets has a way to manifesting themselves. And when these two "pets" are manifested out in the open, they will bring nothing but trouble. Trouble in your marriage, and trouble in your family. This will also brings a reproach upon the body of Christ as well.
Perhaps we men are blaming our wives for this and that and the other, and therefore trying to justify our actions.
And if we do have a case against our wives that seems to be litjit, like maybe we feel like she's trying to wear the pants in the family, or simply do not respect our God given authority as being the head of the household, then that issue have to be address also. Any issues that are left unadressed can lead to trouble. And if we men are at fault, which sometimes we are, our wives may feel the need to wear the pants in the family. Either way Christian counselling can help open both of your eyes(the husband and the wife) to see what is really going on. Satan wants to destroy both you and your wife.
