I think it is kinda cool that the reason you do it has been made known to you. Instead of coping with loneliness by turning to explicit images, I strongly recommend that you fill the emotional need for companionship by saturating your time with other activities that involve an emotional connection. Prayers for you and here are some practical tips:
*Go to church every time the doors open. Sign up for Bible studies and small groups. Extend hands for handshakes. Open arms for hugs.
*Volunteer. Serve at church as an usher. Use volunteermatch.org to find opportunities to offer your skills for a cause you care about.
*Become a sightseer. Visit the museum, zoo, or even the mall or a coffee shop just to be with other people.
*Find a hobby. Paint, write, play games, or sign up for a class in one of those areas.
*Visit family and friends. Call ahead and say you just want to drop by for a visit. They will love to see you.
*Work more hours. You could get a part-time job that works with the public. It would be good to have extra money or donate it to your church.
*Spend more time with the Lord. He is GREAT company.
*Substitute your explicit media for Christian media. Go on a Christian-only media fest. Read Christian books, watch Christian shows and movies, and visit Christian sites.
*Get a block on your computer to prevent explicit images. Throw away any devices you can't block. Any sacrifice of time and money you make is a smart investment in your valuable relationship with God and treasured soul.
*Write a contract with God promising you will never do it again and sign it.
*Addictions are something that get easier over time. If you can take these suggestions for even six months, you might be "over the hump." Overcoming addictions start as something painful and hard to say no to, but the more time that gets in between you and the sin...the easier it will be to just say no. I promise it is worth it to live a happier life, have better relationships with God and others, and show the love of Christ through your testimony of deliverance.
