Hey everyone!
For those of you who have seen it, yes, the thread title is a reference to "The Lego Movie", in which "Everything is Awesome" is the protagonist's life anthem. (Loved the animation and seeing all the "Lego People" come to life... storyline and general plot were... not nearly as good as I had hoped.)
I know there are lots of other similar threads out there, but I wanted to add just one more with a (hopefully) upbeat, happy vibe. Tell us about something you've seen, read, heard, etc. that gave you a feeling of goodness... Something that reminded you that God is still in control of this world, and because of that, there is still hope.
I went to pick up a few groceries this morning and as I went to hunt down an open lane, a guy who was probably in his early 30's passed me by pushing a stroller... that looked more like a caterpillar or semi-truck because it was so elongated (ever seen an 18-wheeler stroller??? It was kind of like that.)
As I paused to let them go past me, three tiny, adorable, IDENTICAL faces turned to look at me as they breezed on by... this stroller had compartments for three, and each was filled with a little boy about 2 years old who had a face resembling each of his other 2 brothers. It was a set of tiny identical triplet boys... all turning and looking at me curiously. I couldn't help but laugh and smile (and say a prayer for the parents... I mean, can you imagine having to raise triplets?!)
Now, I have to ask, how many times have YOU walked out of Walmart smiling about a group of people you've seen there... in a GOOD way... and not because you've just witnessed people getting into a fight, wearing things you wouldn't be caught wearing at home, let alone in public, etc.? That alone was a huge blessing.
But I also felt so special that God allowed this little family to cross right over my path at exactly the right time because it was just so beautiful to see.
Ok, so maybe not EVERYTHING is awesome.
But THIS certainly was.
What's YOUR "Everything Is Awesome" moment?
