I'm not a poet but some times I'm able to put my thoughts on a piece of paper and somehow make it sound decent. Hope you guys like it
All your life you have been looking for that true love that will make you feel completed and satisfied. You look for it every time you see a man. You think he may be the one. You are convinced this is the last time. You believed your search is over that you no longer have to look over. You are mesmerized by his eyes, you are captivated by his kind. You now become dependent of his presence. You believe you need to feel him in order to be assertive. You are so used to his scent, to his voice and to his steps that you have forgotten you have your own trail. You have lost your essence, you have turned into an isolated presence. You have lost your motives. You can't find the drive that will lead out of that trap. Now you feel dissatisfied, you have discovered he has never filled that gap. That void has always been empty. You have always been lacking. You have realized that you have placed him on a pedestal that wasn't meant for a mere worldly man. Your search starts over, looking for the undiscovered. Frustration and deception last no longer when you see the face of a new lover. Your hopes and wishes regain a strength that seems to always extend. You will find yourself again looking for another him to make you feel like a queen. You are convinced you have found the one. The one the was created with you in mind. Your soul mate, your partner for life, your companion and savior that will erase all your errors. You have found yourself rolling on the same wheel that is taking you towards the same drill. Don't you realized you are playing the same rhythm? Always using the same lyrics. Looking at the image of my old path, facing my own reflection I leave behind an old perception. I've shifted the drift. I've changed my attention. Now I realized that I've found the One, I didn't know He was more than just a man. I've embraced His love, I fell into His flow. I allowed Him to nurture and cherish my soul. He saved me from digging a bigger hole. He is my true savior He was meant to play that role. He holds my hand and takes me to the right road. The one I was always supposed to walk on. He did warn me about the bumps I will find on my way home but He also promised me that He will always hold on.
