Growing up in the US and into my adulthood, the churches in the US would post the Ten commandments where ever they could. They were posted in court houses in schools. Until Madeline Murray, later Madeline Murray O'Hare, no one batted an eye at this practice. MMO's first protest was prayer in schools, but later it expanded to anything to do with religion in schools except for teaching comparative religions.
In just about every denomination there was never a ban or teaching against the Ten Commandments, so my question is fairly simple. When did this teaching against the Ten Commandments creep into the minds of those who claim to love Jesus Christ? Why do those lost souls who preach and teach against obeying the Master insist His teaching to obey the commandments is a lie? After all the Ten Commandments fit well into the greatest laws, the two laws of love. The grace afforded believers in the free and ample gift of Jesus, Yeshua, gives all who truly love Him the desire to obey and please Him forever. The laws were not abolished by the Messiah, they were completed; it is the curse of the law, that is to say death, which has been crucified with Christ on the cross. Do not confuse our freedom in grace with license to commit abominations.
