Can I just encourage someone today? God sees you through the eyes of Jesus. After spending a little moment with my Father, we got into a brief conversation and He whispers to me saying:
"Paul, when I look into the eyes of My Son, Jesus Christ, guess who I see?"
My response was? "Who?" (Ikr! That doesn't sound like an answer.)
Anyway, He responded and said "Whenever I look through the eyes of Jesus, I see you."
Hey, you sure get chills from hearing stuff like that; I did. And yes, I had mixed feelings. I began to think, "Am I dressed right?" "Do I look proper/good?" I wondered how many times God was disappointed with me, whenever He sees me do things I'm not supposed to be doing. It occurred to me how often I must have broken His heart.
While these thoughts were going through my head, He whispers again, saying these words: "Take your focus off those. The past is gone, your present is here, what will you do with it? Your future is at hand, how will you prepare for it? From the onset of your life, the price for your guilt has been paid for by Jesus, past, present and future. That's why I do not look past Him, but instead I look through Him, through His eyes, to see you in right standing with me."
Guess what I did when I heard those words? I fell in love all over again with God, and even more with Jesus. I don't know who is reading this now, but please indulge me for just a second:
God is not surprised by your faults, failures or flaws, He knows what you are capable of doing, that's why He sent Christ. It is time to take your focus off yourself and your inadequacies. Jesus is all you need to look upon. It's about time you stopped seeing yourself who others say you are; stop judging yourself by the world's standard. God is telling you now, like always, "Jesus paid it all, the price was right, and I accepted it! I do not see your sin, in fact, I do not see you at all, except through the eyes of Christ YOUR SAVIOR!"
I hope you get it.
"Grace, grace, God's grace,
Great that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin!"
