If that's true, why not a little moderate pot smoking? A little moderate cocaine snortin? How about a little moderate shooting up heroin? You know pot is legal in some states and in some places these other substances have been decriminalized and addiction to them is considered to be an "illness"... so there's where all yo obamacare buxx goes.

No, we are told in God's Word to be sober and God says drunkenness is a sin... and medical research has shown as little as one ounce of alcohol changes how the brain thinks which is where drunkenness starts

And, when one is friendly with the world, they become enemies to God.

Sounds like you already on the edge seeing how much you can get away with and still be saved.

That's a demonic place to be in so you should REPENT as to quit causing others to stumble thinking it's OK to partake in worldly lusts

Titus 2:11,152
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Gee I knew Jesus shouldn't have made water into wine what was He thinking, didn't He know the wedding guest would drink the wine.

You cannot prove that Jesus made fermented wine... in the greek and in the hebrew there is no differation between fermented and non-fermented when speaking of "wine"

Fresh new wine (fruit of the vine that has not rotted to become toxic or fermented) tastes better than alcoholic wine which is why the guy at the wedding said they had saved the best for last (after he tasted some of what Jesus made)

In fact, if Jesus would have delivered fermented wine to them... he would have been delivering a substance that would enable them to get drink which would have been delivering a temptation to sin.

This would have been a sin for Jesus to have done accorfing to what God says in James 1:13

James 1:13
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

It clearly states that God does not tempt any man... so either you believe Jesus lived a sinless life, or you don't.

It's always amazing to me that some who claim to be Christians want to stand and argue in favor of intoxication. Medical science with all their fancy testing equipment has shown that as little as 1 ounce of alcohol changes how the mind thinks and is medically where intoxication starts.

So, if you argue just a little alcohol is OK... then why not also argue that a little pot is ok? A little cocaine is ok, right? Maybe a little heroin?

When a Christian says drinking booze is OK, their witness is shot before those in the world and they now are bringing reproach to Christ so they should sit down and shut up cause those that are watching you have good reason to believe Christians are not actually separated from sin and the world... they just like everyone else, so lots of folks will be turned off to Jesus over this hypocrisy.

No matter how you slice it... the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ does not lead anyone to drink toxic substances proven to be bad for the body so drinking d booze is not the doctrine that Jesus and His Apostles taught. (yeah, they had bad water and Timothy took very small amounts which would have killed bad bacteria in his gut... not the same as drinking d booze... before someone brings up Timothy)

You cannot prove Jesus dd not make fermented wine. However, the narrative suggests He did.

I guess it could have been like O'douls, yet you can't prove it wasn't, 50/50 chance on that, though I surely don't see the water into O'douls.

You included the other guy's quote in with mine making it a false quote... that's not being honest!

You cannot prove He made fermented wine.

If you want to claim Jesus violated James 1:13 and committed sin be my guest.

I'm not a fan of that viewpoint but I understand it is with some folks.

Of course Jesus made fermented wine, the context in John 2 supports this.

He is also the same God who permitted the Israelite's to get strong drink (if they desired) in Deuteronomy. Jesus also drank wine, or they would not have accused Him of being a winebibber and a glutton as well. God condemns drunkenness not consumption of alcohol.

You cannot prove that in Ecc 9:7 it's talking about fermented wine either...

When the fruit of the vine is first made in to "wine" is is not fermented... it takes a while to ferment.

If you research, you'll find they used to make it into a paste and they used to put just a little of this past in water to make "wine"

Today's wine from a grocery store or a liquor store would have as high as 20 to 25 times more alcohol contents than what many in ancient times would have in their glass of "wine" using the paste... which they did for storage purposes cause it was easier to keep, store, and transport

God's Word is clear... drunkeness is a sin

And, you cannot prove that Jesus actually made fermented wine... you can speculate, but you cannot prove it.

He also allowed them to have multiple wives... which was not His will as we find in the New Covenant the same as we find drunkeness i not His will either.

There are some things God put up with in the OT that were not His will and are identified as being sin in the New Covenant... things in the OT He simply did not address because they were spiritually dead people.

But hey, if you folks wanna get drink be my guest... go hang out at the bars drinking booze and tell people about how Jesus hung out with drunks and got drunk too... maybe hit the bong as it went by.

None of this is a problem for me cause... I ain't you!

making non-alcohol wine is something that requires special equipment and a little technical know-how.

You could mix up some Welch’s grape concentrate and call that non-alcohol wine, but the non-alcoholic wines you buy at the store are different. They aren’t syrupy sweet. The sugars have been removed allowing the body and tannins to come forth and be the core of the juices character – just like an alcoholic wine would.

By far, the easiest way to remove the sugars from the juice is to have a fermentation that will turn the sugars into alcohol. This is what the commercial producers of non-alcoholic wines do. They ferment the juice and start out with an actual wine. Then the alcohol is removed. So when you ask: how do you make non-alcoholic wine?, the answer is: start with some alcoholic wine.

Anyone can take a juice and turn it into wine. That’s not the hard part. You make the wine as you normally would. The hard part is removing the alcohol from the wine. There are a couple of ways that the commercial producers of non-alcoholic wines go about doing this. Unfortunately, neither of them are practical for the home winemaker:

Are you calling Noah a sinner did Noah go to hell for being drunk after the flood?
Are you suggesting that it's OK to be drunk??? Are you a drunkard???

Noah would have repented and did. He was a preacher of righteousness so he would not have been a practicing drunk like some Christians today think it's OK to be...

Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

There ya go boozer boy... being a drunk is a work of the flesh and is a sin.

Um, wine and other alcoholic beverages in "Bible times" could be and often were potent.

I also find this interesting: Paul rebuked the Corinthians for getting drunk at the love feasts: he told them they should have done this rather at home; 1 Corinthians 11:22. The word "drink" means literally "to imbibe."

Now I'm just going to watch the teetotalers trip out. ;)

yea, and every one who owns a gun is going to shoot someone, every one who has internet is going to get hooked on porn, everyone who owns knives is going to stab someone..........

saying that every person who drinks gets drunk makes as much senses as the above non-sense statements.

satan enjoys it when those that claim to be Christians drink the booze... it destroys their testimony just like engaging in other forms of sin.

Romans 8:14 says "as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God"

Do you believe the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ is leading God's people to drink the booze???
