Does anyone have any thoughts about the current trial taking place in New York?

A witness for the defence, a fellow named Costello. Will probably sink the prosecution case.

I was surprised that the witness, Cohen, a convicted felon and had been convicted of perjury.
Would be the main witness for the prosecution. Something is troubling about this case. Why would
a prosecution attorney take on such a weak case?

No one could convict Trump on the testimony of Cohen.

There is an enormous level of reasonable doubt about anything that Cohen testifies to.

I am surprised the Judge did not dismiss the case.

I believe that this case and every other one has been orchestrated by our country's enemies (The Deep State) to hinder Trump's ability to run for President, to stop him if possible, and to persuade voters via convictions to not vote for him.

It seems that most of America minus the die hard liberal segment sees these trials for what they are and more and more are deciding to support Trump for his third win for the office of President.

Will he be convicted in this case. Depends on whether or not all the jurors are Trump haters, haters who will vote to convict even though there has been no evidence indicating guilt. It really boils down to the make-up of the jury.

Awesome! Yet another conspiracy thread! We can always use more of those!

Nothing on you personally rrcn. You started it like a normal thread. And it is something worth discussing, if a place can be found without conspiracy theorists where we can discuss it in peace.

But in hindsight you can see how this is going to become yet another conspiracy thread.

1) The case was held in New York, a Democrat state
2) The majority of the jury, if not all of the jury members, will be Democrat supporters
3) It is impossible for Trump to be given a fair trial in New York
4) The timing of when the case was held, says it all, during the election campaign
5) The star witness, Cohen, a felon and a convicted liar, talk about reasonable doubt
6) The fundamental flaw in this case is that high level of reasonable doubt
7) No honest and fair person could convict Trump on the basis of the lack of strong evidence
7) The judge is not acting fairly and the case should never have proceeded
8) How powerful is the political pressure over legal cases in the US

Given this flawed trial, all twelve members of the jury cannot convict Trump.

There is far too much doubt over the testimonies of Cohen and Stormy Daniels.

It is impossible for Trump to be convicted on the basis of the evidence presented.

I don't think they will convict him.
I also don't think all new yorkers will find him not guilty.

That's why I say ,hung jury.
