"Trust God and everything works out hunky dory."
Where did this theology come from? I was just reading that if God's with you nothing bad can happen. Apparently, even ants must obey us and flee, if we but trust God. And, when God's wrath comes, it certainly won't affect believers.
Not what I see happening in the Bible most of the time. (What? Do people think no Israelites died in those battles? And they were still in good shape when Rome took over Judea? Were the apostles treated like royalty?) Not my experience in life. Not what I see happening in other Christians' lives. So where does this come from? And why does just about everyone assume it?
