I don't know about anyone else, but this was a busy week, full of trials and tests, but also victories and blessings. But thankfully, tonight starts the Sabbath. If you choose to honor the Sabbath, blessings to you! (If you don't honor the Sabbath, that's OK. Blessings to you too!)
May we all rest in the knowledge that it is God who is in control and sovereign over everything. That it is He who allows the trials and testing in our lives, and that it is He who gives us the strength and wisdom to walk through them. It is He who has His Hand in everything we go through. And it is He who is graciously transforming us every day, to be more and more like Him.
And if you haven't heard, there was another school shooting in Colorado today, in Arapahoe, CO. Thankfully, as of this posting, there are no victim casualties, only the gunman. But still, a traumatic event for the school and the community, all of who could use some extra prayer and encouragement. I swear, maybe there is something to thin air affecting people's brains.
God, may you grant all of us who know You and love you the peace and rest that comes from your mercy and grace, and may we be able to set aside all the cares of this world and our lives, so we can better focus on serving You and your Kingdom. And for those who don't know you, our friends, family and anyone else, may you continue to draw them to you, and may they have the desire to seek you, especially anyone in Colorado who needs it tonight.
Blessings Everyone,
Matt
