Why are so many under the false impression that Jesus gives each eternal rest
when accepting His salvation free and with daily grace?
When Jesus Speaks of giving rest in Matthew,, He is referring to rest in His teaching.
Even Jesus was weary at Jacob's well. There are so many references to people saved also becoming
weary........
Do you think doing the works of God is alway rest filled? If you do, perhaps you should re-examine
what works God has graced you with.
Jesus makes reference to the hypocrites, much like today, who weigh heavy burdens on you (their teaching) which
they will not lift a finger to do themselves. This is what the reference is to in Matthew right there with His invitation
to learn of Him for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Light thought it may be, it is yet a burden, but a joyous burden
pleasing God, for this forms just a part of the Works of god giveneach of us.
Paul was wearied to the point of death......Jesus was weary from His travel, and you believe you are saved and that is it?
Nothing is further from the reality of living in Jesus Christ. If you believe Him you will follow His example, and the more you do
the greater the reward, however it is not easy, and others will ridicule you for being "different" in you walk. This difference is imitating the Son of God.
No one can do anything for the Father, but all should avail themselves to Him so He will grace us with His works...it will surprise you at times. He will use you for anything He requires, and it is rewarding now, no waiting.
