This is a subject that is important to me. I was raised with so much guilt and shame. My value was inextricably linked to my behavior. My character was assaulted if I made a mistake. Out of that, I became an adult that lived in shame and that felt beneath others. It took me until I was...well yesterday to get well and heal from that. Lol.
What are other ways us flawed humans attempt to force those around us into a worldly regret and shame? Do we do it to coworkers or underlings....spouses and children, parents and friends? Does anyone else care about his subject? Lol

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There's no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.
For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
