chat not loading

Hi

Perhaps someone can help me out a bit.

The chat interface is not loading. Yes I have uninstalled and yes I have downloaded and installed back still does not work.

I can view flash videos on other sites as I tested it but the interface for the chat here is not loading. I am using firefox I tried IE and Chrome still the same.

Suggestions are welcomed.

When you say uninstalled and reinstalled do you mean Flash? You didn't specify.

I know it's often suggested to clear out your internet chache and history and all of that.
Then possibly try rebooting your system. If that doesn't work then perhaps someone more knowledgeable will have better insight. But i would try those two suggestions first. And if it works don't forget to let us know.

Perhaps you need to update the pluggins on firefox browser. In there it may need an update for flash to be played through Firefox. Or better still. if you go to adobe website and download the latest Flash player. there you can choose which browser you want to use it for. then you download it and install it. then restart computer to make sure you register all files in its right place. and try then to see if it works.

What device are you trying to use chat on? is it laptop? desktop computer or tablet or fone? many people will say they having problems with flash, but they dont state what device they trying it on.

Ipad has no flash player but you can look for an alternative flash player on the appstore or were ever the ipad goes to download apps.

Android tablets, the newer models has flash built in the software. you just may need to update flash player from the tablet.

From laptop/desktop computer. go to adobe website and download the latest flash player, and Shockwave player. they work hand in hand with each other.

Uninstalled flash and firefox. cleaned out all the cookies and temp files generated downloaded firefox again. Im actually using another browser its called maxthon it still does not load. If push comes to shove maybe I gotta format and reinstall everything (prefer not to if it can be avoided).

I thought chat was down only to realised ok its me not the chat lol

Desktop and gonna get the latest shockwave as the flash is the latest one and I only download adobe stuff from adobe.

yeh Shockwave is adobe own software. so you be able to download it from the adobe website.

Also you could try looking into your security settings from your security software or firewall, perhaps something there is stopping playing flashfiles. But on maxthon, it has its own flashplayer that plays all types of flash files so im surprised that maxthon is not working.

When you load chat up from CC. what does it say when you attempt to load it up? is it giving error codes? or does it say you need to update flash player and so on?

So Ive done all I can do even checked around to see if other flash sites would work and found one that did but didnt like the chat there. The others did not work at all one suggested that my firewall may be blocking it Im using the default fw of windows I am lost as to what is the cause.

Java loads well perhaps a java interface for those with flash problems??? Ive had this problem before but for the life of me I cant remember how I got it to work.

I´m using OPERA on Windows... What´s your Operative System?

I am just posting what I have done so far ok.

I have formatted and installed only the OS (xp pro), drivers, AV, java, flash player, shockwave and air
I have gone through the settings to see if anything needs to be enabled or disabled
I have checked add ons to see if there was anything I could use then took them off as they made no difference
I have scouted other flash chat rooms only one I was able to load one loaded but I couldn't tell if anyone was seeing me or not and all the others did not one told me that my fw is blocking some sort of policy to download
I have also tried viewed the page before log in via Tools ->Page Info->Permissions -> clicked allow to activate plugins and the media tab and noticed that the swf file was greyed so after allowing etc that has become activated
I have also tried 4 browsers so far IE, FF, Maxton and Opera as well as run portable FF off a flash drive
I have also checked fw settings and added the port 843 that didn't work either

I guess if I don't get it to work then I will check you all back sometime in the distant future
