Hello. I'm trying to figure out how to get alerted through email whenever someone responds to my forum or a forum I have reponded in.

I couldn't find anything in my settings pertaining to this. Maybe I missed something? ?

Scroll to the top of the screen, hit 'Settings' in the top right. On the left side you will see 'General Settings', click it. The fifth section down is titled 'Default Thread Subscription Mode'. Try there.
This is for subscriptions. But people specifically replying to you i don't think is an option.

Ok thanks. I will try that.

I didn't realize this site gets so much traffic. Is that normal? I was just afraid I'd miss a question addressed to me and then obviously it would seem as if I was being rude...

I´m used to LIKE as a means to get some notifications and be notified someone might have written anything for me to see, in a thread.

I´m not using PMs (just to avoid invading peoples "privacy") a foolish thing I see because, if I don´t want to be known or publicly seen, I don´t register on in an internet site... But I respect other´s ideas.

Actually in the past couple months the site seems to have slowed down a bit haha.

But keep in mind that people using the forums understand that the conversations are not meant to be real time. So if someone posts they should expect it could be hours or days even, before you may have a chance to respond. And missing things is just part of the experience. I know i miss a lot. Subscriptions are the easiest way to keep track of threads that are active. This lets you know when posts are being made. It may not be reflective of things posted for you specifically, but it lets you remember what threads you last visited and whether or not any more activity has taken place in it.
