I noticed there are so many repeated threads. Some under a different title but asking or enquiring or discussing the same thing or topic. How about this idea? Anyone who wishes to make a new thread, why can't there be a pop up as soon as a person thinks of making a thread, to prompt them, to do a quick search to see if there is open thread on the topic the person is about to ask? that way people are not so held back to answer yet another repeated thread?

I know that new people who sign in to this site may not be aware of the features and the workings of CC, and want to get involved in posting there own thread for the first time. But would you think a little pop up box, with a little brief explanation to do a quick search before they make a thread that may have already covered?

just an idea or suggestion.
