Hello you all! I have been spending a good amount of time on this website and I wanted to access it on my iPad. I downloaded Tapatalk after reading the comments here about the forums being compatible. But for some reason it doesn't work for me. I even downloaded Tapatalk on my phone and it doesn't work there either.

Whenever I try to add this forum, it gives me the error: "The forum is either restricting access from Tapatalk or the installed Tapatalk plugin is not working. Please contact your forum administrator."

Is anyone here able to actually use Tapatalk with the forums? I don't know what to do to get it to work properly.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not familiar with tapatalk, but I am able to access the website on my kindle and on my android phone...are you just not able to use the regular browser on your devices to log onto the actual website?

I'm able to access it from the Internet browser on my devices. I wanted to use the Tapatalk app though to access this forum and all of my other favorite forums all in one app. I can use the other forums with Tapatalk just fine, but just not Christian Chat. But I did read somewhere on here that they are working in an official app.

But then again, I don't remember which thread I saw that said they were working on an app....maybe it's just a rumor lol

RoboOp has been working for some time now on updating the forums to the latest version of V-Bulletin which supposedly is fully compatible with mobile devices. Once the forum upgrade is complete he will be working towards upgrading the chat to be compatible with mobile devices. Of course this all takes time (and money) to complete.

Yes our forum upgrade should be complete any day now. Once the upgrade is complete, a mobile web version of the forum will be available (actually it will automatically give you the mobile version if you're browsing from a mobile device). Also we have the option of adding a mobile app as well, though that may be some work and money, depending on what route we go with that.

As I always say, "fund the work and it shall be done". :)

Does anyone have any information about how to add these forums to the Tapatalk v.3.2.1 app on an iPad mini 2 or iPhone 5s?

I think the forum needs the Tapatalk plugin installed before it (the forum) can be accessed via Tapatalk. I have no idea as to whether there are any plans for this, though.

Apparently chat is going weird once again. I am glad that I am a forum type of person.

Tapatalk is a popular app for mobile platforms that lets users add numerous forums. This allows users to browse/interact with their favorite forums in an app that lays everything out in a mobile-friendly manner. It's almost like having a dedicated iOS or Android app for each of your favorite forums.

I get tired of having to switch between mobile and normal skins in a normal web browser when I hop between my mobile devices and my desktop machines.

At the bottom of the mobile version is a link to the full version of the site.

Do you have Photon or Dolphin browser available? Photon's browser has Flash built in and it does allow my android phone to access the chatroom. Dolphin says it has a Flash plug-in, but I couldn't get it to work, however if might work for your device.

I'm not interested in the chat, I'm interested in using the forums in an app (Tapatalk) that has a bit more functionality with forums than does a web browser. Tapatalk was built for socializing and the free Tapatalk plugin helps quite a bit with this. Tapatalk sends instant notifications to the device notifications center (forum messages and notifications, for example) whereas a browser cannot do this on an iOS device.

NewEagle, Thank you, by the way, for chiming in. I'm hoping that the staff will see how beneficial this type of functionality can be to the member base, and, hopefully, the administration can install the free plugin. Heck, I will volunteer to help anywhere if needed in order to have this done.

You can inquire about this by sending one of the admins a PM. Feel free to post the idea of implementing the Tapatalk plugin in the Suggestions forum, also.

I am now browsing the site on a new iPhone 6 and it does indeed display the mobile version automatically. Thank you all for this!
