Again you make false statements about what I believe because you are unable to understand the distinction between the Old covenant and New covenant.

I recoil the verse by understanding that the OLD covenant was NOT spiritual and that they did not worship God with their whole hearts, that they broke their covenant with God by lusting after other gods. That many in the OT worshiped God only by doing the letter of the law but in their hearts they still covet and committed adultery.

It is evident that God prophecies of a time when the OLD covenant is done away with and people worshiped God through the NEW covenant in Spirit and in Truth:

Hebrews 8 directly quotes the prophecy in Jeremiah 31:

[SUP]31 [/SUP]“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— [SUP]32[/SUP]not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,[SUP][a][/SUP] says the Lord. [SUP]33 [/SUP]But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. [SUP]34 [/SUP]No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

there was never any doubt that God's law are spiritual and have always been so. your repeated false accusations of me not being able to see that, just shows your blindness to what is actually being said or discussed. it is a tiresome misdirection.

i exhort you to read what has actually been written instead of the strawmen you continue to erect and torch.
It does appear that humans are at fault rather than God's law that was given to Moses. Thanks for explaining that. It relates to what I said in this post

believe what you want, if you don't see the difference between the Old and New covenant and choose to follow the Mosaic laws that is your choice.

Yes humans are at fault. However the OLD covenant and the laws given to Moses were also not good enough because God made a NEW covenant and gave NEW laws written in the hearts of His followers.

Those who have His holy Spirit know those laws.

so what Laws do you think God put in the hearts of His believers?

To your one sided argument instigated without any provocation. God never intended the old covenant to be complete, for Jesus is the creator of all things including the law that was given to Moses. Christ was born at exactly the right time. First things first according to the divine perfect plan.

John 12:28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

John 18:7 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered , Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born , and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Galatians 4:4 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

Again, WHAT LAWS are really God's? By your statement I can rape a female and simply pay the father off and marry her. "Thou shalt not" is not written in my heart. That's for the lawless! LOVE is written there!

JESUS stated that HE came not to destroy the Law but to Fulfil it The Law was given to Moses from GOD/JESUS. What GOD does HE does not say oops let ME redo that it is Perfect the first time what GOD has done was give man the Law in order to show them one can not fulfill it we all need a SAVIOR...WHO is able to open the scrolls only JESUS! Also in the New Testament when the people brought the woman caught in adultery the pharisees awaited to see what JESUS would do lol As HE wrote on the ground/stones notice HE did this with HIS Finger which represented HE wrote the Law POWERFUL!!!

John 8:6 Exodus 31:18

Good question. Please sight one law out of scripture that is not God's.
I can easily quote the law about raping and marrying a woman but let's start with a more familiar one. "Thou shalt not kill" is NOT a law God is subject to. It is God that kills and makes alive.

that points to the root of your misunderstanding right there.

You state that the New covenant is just an addition to the old covenant. just an add on.

When in truth its the NEW covenant not the "renewed" covenant.

Its not an argument. just clearly stating the difference in belief, which you like to blur by imply falsehoods like I don't believe in God's perfect plan or that Jesus came when He was meant to.

I would be fine if you stuck to the facts of what you believed instead of implying and erecting strawmen of what others believe when they do not even come close to holding those beliefs.

Its false and a misrepresentation to turn attention away from the key point that you hold to the Old covenant laws
and rules when it suits you but make excuses to why you don't hold ALL of them.
then get upset when others don't fall in line and follow the old covenant laws you have picked and chosen to keep

Born again believers are to point people to Christ and His spiritual laws as outlined in the New covenant, not the old covenant laws which were shadows of Christ or the moral laws that could be kept only in form and not necessarily reflect God's grace or compassion.

There is a difference between Mosaic law and the Spiritual laws of Christ. One of those differences is turning the other cheek instead of an eye for an eye.

So do you believe that Christians are still subject to the law given to Moses, written in stone or are they held by a different set of laws, spiritual laws that transcends the laws written on stone?

So the law of "thou shalt not kill" was not delivered by God to Israel at Sinai? That law was for us from God who gave it. You saying that God gave certain laws to Himself and not all of His laws were for us and some of His laws were for Him?

You evidently believe that God made a mistake then. Wow! that's pretty wild! LOL:p You are unable to see why the progression of events were necessary for the New to be substantial.

What I'm saying is that we need to know what God's law is first. Again the law as you believe it to be, is for the lawless. Thus Jesus stated it's written in "your law". " Thou shalt not" is for lawbreakers. Is God such who said He kills? No! Why? Because ALL THINGS are lawful, just not expedient.

I am not lawless. I do not need those commands because love is written on my heart. I can kill someone perfectly understanding who I am in Christ, but doing that is not profitable at all. Its not out of love and I am fully aware of the consequences for taking upon this action. A tooth for a tooth and an eye for an eye.

The Everlasting Covenant to Abraham was the first law as I see it, the law of Life. The Law that Jesus brought to light in the New Covenant as promised. Everyone knew then that it was wrong to do evil things. But until the law of Moses, the PUNISHMENT for those things wasn't enforced upon a people yet. And it was because of their sin that God created that law through Moses. It doesn't mean anything more than that to me. I certainly don't need the law of Moses to know what is sin. I knew what sin was from a very small age. The only thing about the law of Moses for me is knowing that Law for punishment of sin has been abolished. Anything more that someone would read into the issue would be non-beneficial and decisive, my opinion. Peace in Christ to all delievered from that law!

That's OK with me.

If you're a Christian, every command God has given to His people He has ( or at least wants to) put in their heart.

But again, if that doesn't make sense to you right now, that's just fine.

You're now implying that God was a christian from everlasting to everlasting. Again what laws are written there? How can "thou shalt not kill" be written on Adam's heart if he was the only man or any other such command? No! Again the law as you know it today was written or added BECAUSE OF TRANSGRESSIONS. LOVE which is the only commandment written on a heart to do just that, is the only thing written there. We are now to love each other as He loved us! That is all.

Every Law God ever told man to do is one He has written on His people's hearts.
Yes He has, and will continue to do so, praise Jesus!

I think some of the misunderstanding I see here on this thread could be cleaned up with knowing the reason the law was added, which was BECAUSE of sin. We know that is true, because people knew what sin was long before that. And to seal the deal to those who might say they didn't know it was wrong to sin. So now then can never use the excuse of ignorance of their sin, because the law of Moses was written for the transgressors, specifically to those who willfully sin. To me, this is the complete meaning, and gives me peace in understanding. For now, the Law of Christ in me causes me to manifest righteousness now, by His Holy Spirit dwelling in me overcoming temptation and sin in my life day to day ! :) Something the law of Moses could never do in any fashion whatsoever in any person's life, except only in Jesus' life. And even after He perfected that same law, that same law still cursed Him. Praise Jesus that His death obliterated that Law of Moses! Praise Jesus that His Resurrection brought forth the Law of Life, the Promise of the Father in the Everlasting Covenant of Abraham!
