Okay let me start off by saying I cant control my brain I think stupid weird things with out trying. I heard at one point that the ultimate sin was writing off jesus's work as satan's. But I was also told its impossible to commit that sin because Jesus isn't on earth anymore. And the other day I thought maybe what was happening to me was a demonic possesion. I know its not now nut I couldn't help but think it because I could feel the holy spirit work through me but I dont feel the love.....I just submitted myself to Christ a few days ago does this stuff take time?......A side note I have mild Autism could that be a factor?

Yes, this stuff takes time and its a process. And what does God say about His love for us? Maybe that can be a little homework task and find a scripture about Gods steadfast love...in Psalms :)

Dealing with mental illness adds a whole different level to being a Christian. But not one that cannot be overcome. I have quite a few friends who are bipolar Christians, with a number of other comorbid conditions, such as GAD and OCD, etc.

They all have found that hanging onto Christ is a journey. That means sometimes it will be hard, other days easier, but always profitable. That means growing and learning.

Salvation is not just the day you got saved, and Jesus came into your life. That is the day you were justified, or made positionally right. After that, we spend the rest of our lives growing in truth, or being sanctified. That means facing challenges, coping with pre-existing conditions, (mental, physical, maritial, financial, etc!) No one is perfect in this life, and that means that each day we have to make the decision to love God and our neighbour as ourselves.

But there is great hope. I have one friend with severe anxiety. But she knows God is there, has forgiven and saved her, and she clings to God no matter how her emotions overwhelm her. My cousin has a son with Asperger's and life is just hard for him, (also severe anxiety and OCD). But he trusts in Jesus, regardless of how bad things are in his mind.

Since you are a new Christian, I would urge you to get a Bible which you understand, at your reading level, and dig into the New Testament and the Psalms. The psalms talk about the whole range of emotions and issues we face.

I hope you have not been told that once you come to Christ, your life will now be perfect. Instead, the truth is, we serve a perfect God, who loved us so much that he came to die for us on the cross, while we were yet sinners. The exciting part of being a Christian is the journey, pressing into Christ, and letting the Holy Spirit continue the work of transformation.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1-2

"But God demonstrates his love for us in this, that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

PM me if you want to talk about this more.

God's Word tells us that those who have accepted the gospel of Christ have not been given a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

Also, don't forget your Favorite Bible Verse: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Continue submitting to Christ each day. This will make him Lord of your life. He will test you (your faith in Him.) Just keep believing. Talk to Him about your concerns, your needs, your hopes and desires. Ask Him for specific things, then listen and watch for Him to answer. When specific things are answered then you know He is listening and cares for you. This will grow your faith.

God knows each person's heart. When we sincerely desire for Him to be in our life, and submit to Him as our master and sovereign LORD our desires are then shifted from things of this fallen world to things of heavenly realms, the temptations of this world behind us and the assured hope of eternal salvation and all it entails before us.

As soon as you wake each morning, start thanking God for the good things He has given you. Thank Him for His Spirit that is with you all the day long. If you wish, tell Him you love Him. This "talking to Him" gets your mind on Him and starts your day off in His Presence, where His Peace abides.

May our Loving Father be with you and guide you each day in your life-walk with Him. His Peace I leave with you.

Read the New Testament every day. Even just a page a day. From front page to back page and when you are done read it again and again to keep you nourished in the power and grace of the word.
For man can not live on bread alone but by every word from god ( sorry not verbatim).

yes, it is a journey for life and what a wondrous and beautiful journey it is.

God bless

Hey Bro......It takes years and years to fully come on line as a mature servant of God....I have been saved by the blood of Christ and faith for 41 years and I still have failures and difficulties sometimes that I struggle with....Like Paul who had a thorn or two in the flesh to keep me humbled......The bible says a just man will fall 7 times and yet rise up.....the Christian walk is beset with successes and failures because we are human and in fallen, sinful bodies. keep your head up, stay humble before God, study his word, apply the word, confess your sins unto God and ask for help, allow Christ to lift you back up and dust you off when you stumble, keep your eyes on Jesus and walk by faith. The Lord loves you and would have you succeed in your Christian endeavor and fully understand that the same difficulties, trials and temptations are also being endured by your brothers and sisters in Christ as well. :)

As a newborn babe in Christ desires the sincere milk of the word to grow thereby.....and as you mature you will indeed need the meat of the word to increase your level of maturity.....Study (be diligent) to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not be ashamed...cutting straight the word of God! Chin up and eyes on the truth my friend!

i had a teacher once that told me
"you can't control what thoughts come into your mind. you can only control what you do with them"

cast all your cares on Him, because He loves you.
take hold of your faith, that He has forgiven you of all sin, and is able to complete what He began in you, and faithfully will, in His own time :)

I've got good news for you. No one can control their brain. (That's not the good news part.) BUT, Jesus can, if we let him in. (That's the good news part.) Whenever we pray "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven," we're declaring that we want him to take over our will. He does. The only reason we go back to thinking there has got to be some way to control our brain, is when we take our declaration back. (We take back over the wheel, instead of keeping Jesus at the helm.) So, the more often we ask for his help the more often we'll remember he is putting in his effort. This is a good thing to learn as a new Christian, because it just gets worse if we don't realize that.

Also, a helpful hint I heard once. Consider usual thoughts like birds and our minds are a tree. It's okay to let the thought fly through, but don't let it nest. When you catch yourself dwelling on one of those thoughts, kick it out and replace it with Christ. (Best done by studying his word and then asking for his help to apply it in all things.) He's the one who is supposed to nest in our minds.

And, don't worry. That really is much easier to say than do, so keep working on it and don't think it happens naturally. Well, it does happen naturally, but God is supernatural, so we're trying to get rid of naturally. This will be a life long effort to get there.

In luke chapter 10:38-42 the one needful thing is mentioned.

The Bible is a portion of the one needful thing...and a door you can open or close as often as you choose.

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Be sanctified by truth...His word is truth.

Okay- since you are just recently converted-

Know that you now have ETERNAL LIFE

You are-

*Forgiven
*Sealed by the Holy Spirit- He has now indwelled you with His Spirit
*A child of God
*Have a place in heaven

EMBRACE these truths!

As for the unforgiveable sin.. Jesus wasn't speaking to saved people when he talked about it!

I saved person CANNOT blaspheme the Holy Spirit. It isn't possible. This is rejecting conversion to begin with..

And you I assume are already converted- so can't reject salvation now.

Now so

God does love you.. no matter what happens to you and what you do now. He has committed to you. EMBRACE this also.

Keep it simple.

If you have autism.. this has got to be the only way to do it. Simple.
