.........I was on His mind.

I like that song........just do. And I am so very thankful for Him and His love for me.

John 10:16) And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

John 17:20) Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Thank You Lord Jesus

Nice to read this morning. Makes me think that He must love it when He is on our mind most of the time.

Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Psalm 22:1 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

I think it is amazing that the Lord is quoting Psalm 22 while on the cross so we would surely know that He was sent of God the Father and we could know for sure that He would Never Leave us nor Forsake us.

Have you ever thought of this? That one part of Jesus was left on our earth - drops of his blood. Doesn't DNA remain in some way?

That would be like saying when He rose from the dead, parts of His old body was left behind. No, I think all became His glorified/resurrected body.

Heard a sermon once in which the pastor talked about the long, arduous trek up the mountain to Jerusalem from Jericho, the last trip Jesus made before His crucifixion.

People who make that same trek today talk about how the steepness of the climb keeps one from talking to his friends. It requires a lot of energy just to breathe and keep one foot moving forward and upward in front of the other. Making that journey, you're pretty much left to your own thoughts.

The pastor asked, "So what do you suppose Jesus thought about?" He knew He was going to the cross. He knew He was going to die. He knew that in doing so He was taking the sins of the world upon Himself. He knew He had to prepare for that. He knew He had to have the strength to do it. He knew He had a reason for doing it.

So what did He think about?

What if he thought about you, by name, as He climbed that mountain?

Simply awesome ...

I love these words in this hymn..

1 Stricken, smitten, and afflicted,
See Him dying on the tree!
'Tis the Christ by man rejected;
Yes, my soul, 'tis He, 'tis He!
'Tis the long-expected Prophet,
David's Son, yet David's Lord;
Proofs I see sufficient of it:
'Tis the true and faithful Word.

2 Tell me, ye who hear Him groaning,
Was there ever grief like His?
Friends through fear His cause disowning,
Foes insulting His distress;
Many hands were raised to wound Him,
None would interpose to save;
But the deepest stroke that pierced Him
Was the stroke that Justice gave.

3 Ye who think of sin but lightly
Nor suppose the evil great
Here may view its nature rightly,
Here its guilt may estimate.
Mark the sacrifice appointed,
See who bears the awful load;
'Tis the Word, the Lord's anointed,
Son of Man and Son of God.

4 Here we have a firm foundation;
Here the refuge of the lost;
Christ, the Rock of our salvation,
His the name of which we boast.
Lamb of God, for sinners wounded,
Sacrifice to cancel guilt!
None shall ever be confounded
Who on Him their hope have built.

Actually His blood is on the altar in heaven covering our sins so the Father can look upon us. Hebrews chapter 9.
