From :- https://goandteachallnations.wordpr...tions-may-not-become-like-sodom-and-gomorrah/

In Genesis chapters 18 and 19, the people of Sodom were so wicked that God could no longer tolerate them. He destroyed the city of Sodom by raining fire and brimstone down upon it. The prominent sin that earmarked the city of Sodom was homosexuality. As a result, the sin of homosexuality became known as sodomy, which is still true to this very day.[/COLOR]
What was the sin for Sodom and Gomorrah?
It can be seen in Jude 1:7
Jude 1:7 And don’t forget Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and serve as a warning of the eternal fire of God’s judgment.
The sexual sins that are an abomination to the Lord, for which Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed can be seen in Leviticus 18. They include.
1) Homosexuality.
2) Incest.
3) Sexual relations with animal.
4) Child sacrifice to demons.
5) Any unlawful sexual relations outside of marriage.

God specifically warns what will happen of the nations that practice it(It shall vomit out its inhabitants) in Leviticus 18:24-29
“‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. [SUP]25 [/SUP]Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. [SUP]26 [/SUP]But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, [SUP]27 [/SUP]for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. [SUP]28 [/SUP]And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]Everyone who does any of these detestable things—such persons must be cut off from their people.[SUP]30 [/SUP]Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.’”

God’s condemnation of homosexuality is abundantly clear–He opposes it in every age.
– In the patriarchs (Genesis 19:1-28)
– In the Law of Moses (Leviticus 18:22; 20:13)
– In the Prophets (Ezekiel 16:46-50)
– In the New Testament (Romans 1:18-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Jude 7-8)
Why does God condemn homosexuality? Because it overturns God’s fundamental design for human relationships–a design that pictures the complementary relationship between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:18-25; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:22-33).
There are unjust judges in ancient as well as in modern times, who frame laws against God, favouring sexual immorality. The judgement of these judges are given in Isaiah 10:1-4
Isaiah 10:1-4: Woe to those who enact evil statutes And to those who constantly record [a]unjust decisions, 2 So as to deprive the needy of justice And rob the poor of My people of their rights,
So that widows may be their spoil And that they may plunder the [c]orphans.
3 Now what will you do in the day of punishment, And in the devastation which will come from afar?
To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your [d]wealth?
4 Nothing remains but to crouch [e]among the captives Or fall [f]among the slain.
In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away And His hand is still stretched out.

We are to pray constantly for the nation that has fallen into sin, so that it may not face the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah and is not vomited out. In prayer we have to bind all the forces that are against the nation, and the unjust judges.
James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
Matthew 18:18 “Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.

That's not the issue.

You said to pray that the nation does not BECOME like Sodom and Gomorrah.

I said it already has become.

You did not ask, nor did I answer, anything about what God is able to do.

well, not quite as bad as they were, remember Abrahams's conversation with God. God would have spared the city if a mere 10 righteous people were found. now things are going downhill fast and 100% need to get pointed back in the God direction but not quite as bad as s and g. but things are getting really bad.

Nothing is too late for the Lord.
I suggest Romans chapter 1 as the embracement of gay marriage and homosexualism is the straw that breaks the camel's back and points to the fact that it is too late as all that remains is judgment!

In light of the OP and your response below, your first response above was a vague non answer and would naturally have been read wrong.

That's not the issue.

You said to pray that the nation does not BECOME like Sodom and Gomorrah.

I said it already has become.

You did not ask, nor did I answer, anything about what God is able to do.

I disagree. Sodom and Gomorah were destroyed because there were no believers. We have believers in America

I happened to see a statistical analysis of the actual "gay" percentage of the US population. I truly expected it to be somewhat higher consider how LOUD they are and how much the political/media panders to them. The statistic is 4%. Makes me wonder about all the professing Christians who claim to be serving the Lord... cuz they aren't standing out as effective in politics or media.

The media is Anti-Christian and sells the idea that you can do whatever you think feels good whenever you want to do it without consequences. The media basically makes fun of Christians

The believers were taken out of S and G before the wrath fell. R we back to the pre-trib rapture here? I'm just saying.

Killing babies, harvesting the organs, 'sex gone wild' promoted in the 'pubic' schools down to the first level.
Sex perversion (homosexual) acts promoted and celebrated in the 'pubic' schools.

Internet XXXXX porn available to all ages.

A Muslim president that hates this country vehemently.

And way to many christians feigning church playing footsy with the world!

I see no reason why God would pour out His wrath.......do you?

Actually, you're simply gullible enough to assume everyone is talking about your nation. Look closer at what was actually said, and by whom, minus those blinders.

In many ways I think we're there? The world may not parallel Sodom and Gomorrah exactly, but it does seem that all manner of wickedness abounds, and that is generally when God says enough is enough. "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually" (Genesis 6:5).

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." (2 Timothy 3;1-5)

How many righteous men did God say that it would take for him to spare the cities? Are there any in America?

I hope I don't offend anyone by saying, "Revelations is Fulfilling itself." It has been predicted that these times would come. Are we like Sodom and Gomorrah? In a sense, YES!! People are not loving anymore. Many "church folk" have a form of godliness and not totally following God's Word. All types of hatred are spread throughout the world and the list goes on.. God is saying to the true believers that HE wants us to TRUST and have FAITH in Him. The time has come for true believers to stand. How do we stand? Through prayer and worship.. Truly reaching God's heart makes all the difference. He said, "the righteous shall not be forsaken." "He will never leave nor forsake us." We are in this world but we are not of this world. We are peculiar people in a place where we don't fit in. God has a purpose for all of us. He tells us that, "Many are called but only few are CHOSEN." We must yield to his purpose in order to overcome the sins of this world..There is a season coming for the believers very soon.. There will be an overflow of blessings that will be taken from the corrupt!!!

For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
(Philippians 3:18-21)

perhaps we need to stop thinking of these as "our" nations.
there is no Jew or Greek in Christ -- and there is no American or Indian or British or Australian or Canadian in Him either, but our citizenship is in heaven.

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of rampant sexual perversion.

The SpiritualTruth. In answer to your plea please refer to Todd Truthseeker. Another point do you really have to copy out chunks of Bible cant you just quote the references?. I suspect we all have bibles to look at.
