I have wondered why there is such division between Christians who take God’s Word literally when it says, “But He answered and said, "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.' " Matthew 4:4 (NAS) and “And Jesus answered him, "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE.' " Luke 4:4 (NAS) - and those who say that very scripture and the rest of the Old Testament is now void. It somehow escapes them that Jesus Himself quoted that exact scripture (“…that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD.” Deuteronomy 8:3 (NAS)) to defeat Satan. If scripture is powerful enough to send the Adversary on his way, why would Christians consider it obsolete or irrelevant? A true disciple or follower of Christ would be serious about walking in the Masters’ ways and accurately understanding what He taught and still teaches today.

Hi,

Very interesting thread! Truly, the spirit and the word, Jesus, is the spirit and the word that came to the prophets when the prophets said...."the word of the Lord came to me saying..." ...and they replied to the spirit, Jesus, who prophesied through them.

The same spirit and the word, Jesus, came in the flesh and blood named Jesus and spoke to the world, and said that the "word that speaks to you is the spirit and the life". When Jesus spoke to the world, it was the spirit and word , Jesus, who first spoke to the world through the prophets, that also spoke directly to the world. And so some of the disciples bear witness that they touched the word of life, Jesus. But bible error records that Jesus said "the words I speak to you are spirit and life". If the words that Jesus spoke are spirit and life, then does it mean that when said to the somebody....." woman".... that the word, woman, is spirit and life?...no! It's the word, Jesus, that is the spirit and life!

You can see that there are errors in the bibles. Not all recorded in the bibles are scriptures. Bibles contain scriptures and non scriptures. Scriptures must point to the name, Jesus, and the word, Jesus, and the blood, Jesus, for salvation which is forgiveness and washing away of sin, once and forever, with the blood named Jesus. Salvation is received by faith alone n the blood named Jesus. Salvation, received by faith alone in the blood named Jesus, makes a soul righteous, holy, perfect, just, immortal, glorious, and living now and forever in heaven, Jesus, the Lord and spirit of glory n whom the glory of heaven is. Wherever scriptures and non scriptures are mixed up, take only the scriptures and jettison the rest I'll have subsequent posts on examples of scriptures and non scriptures in the bibles.
