[TD="colspan: 3, align: left"] Many a time, people ask , “ I know that God’s promises are true, but how can I be sure that His promises will come true in my life?”

My friend, if you want God’s promises to be sure in your life, you cannot depend on yourself. If you depend on yourself—your obedience, goodness, service and even faith—you will not be able to receive God’s promises. But when you depend on God’s grace—His unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor toward you—that is when His promises become sure in your life.

This was true of the woman with the issue of blood. (Matthew 9:20–22) She didn’t go around saying, “I must have faith…I hope that I have enough faith…I will have faith…I will not lose faith.” No, she was only conscious of the grace of Jesus—how He always healed the sick, how powerful He was in raising the dead and how willing He was to use that power for her healing.

She just saw His grace abounding toward her, so much so that she said, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” And when she came behind Jesus and touched the very hem of His garment, she was healed. At that same moment, Jesus stopped, turned around and said to her, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.”

When the woman saw His grace, God saw her faith! And so it was by grace, through faith, that God’s promise became sure in her life.
God wants you to see His grace. And when you see His grace, He sees your faith. God says, “For by grace are you saved through faith.” The Greek word for “saved”, sozo, doesn’t just mean to save from hell, but also to heal, preserve and make whole

. So it is by grace that you are made whole, kept healthy, preserved and blessed. It is by grace through faith that God’s promises become sure in your life.

My friend, don’t worry if you feel that you lack faith. Begin to see God’s grace in your situation and He will see that as faith. And because He sees your faith, you will receive the breakthrough you need!

I can read what this post says, but I wonder if this new.modern.hyper grace teacher believes a person can be saved by grace apart from faith like other new.modern.hyper grace teachers believe.

This is an odd split. A person believes in things, ie forms a model of the world upon which they act.
We are promised if we believe in Jesus we will be saved. That is often seen as a future event, ie saved after death.

Grace is Gods provision of blessing to man, Jesus. But hyper-grace is believe in a mystical power change and you do nothing, and ignore any negative feelings and only claim health and wealth. Some go so far as to say negative is evil and a denial of God.

The split is subtle. Evil and wrong is obedience, goodness, service and even faith. Good is grace.

Jesus calls us to obey, to put into action His commands and words. By this emotional morality Jesus is evil.

So let the light shine on this heresy. Once you accept this view of life you are against Jesus, his enemy.

Ofcourse we are to accept Gods grace, but also obedience, goodness, service and faith. We are 100% justified by the cross and Jesus's blood but we are called after the washing of our souls to walk in
obedience, goodness, service and faith.

It cannot be planner the evil this theology is pushing and how it rebels against Jesus's commands.

We will see Jesus's promises fulfilled if we walk in faith,
obedience, goodness and service.

Those who have failed I have found have not actually walked with Jesus but just tried in their own strength without their hearts being transformed by love.

I don't know what hyper grace is but I know that God's grace is unlimited as long as we are alive but what happens after life is what we chose

No one can be saved apart from a Savior. Faith doesn't save, the object of Christian faith, Jesus Christ saves. By grace, through faith.

Amen..well said!

The woman with the issue of blood "heard" of Jesus...and then she had an action to the faith that was brought to her when she heard of Him..Jesus our Lord.

Mark 5:27-28 (KJV)
[SUP]27 [/SUP] When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
[SUP]28 [/SUP] For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

Romans 10:17 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. The hearing of Jesus supplies faith!

It always is and shall forever remain all about Jesus and in His finished work for us. He loves us dearly! In everything He has the preeminence....

Interesting concept..that GOD switches His grace that I can see into faith that I don't see....I will ponder this.

The two seem to go hand in hand. Grace and faith are inseparable. By grace through faith. I don't understand the hypergrace vs the other argument. Both seem to be playing on extremes and I feel that both could meet in the middle and be where they should be.

What is the, "other argument"?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. The one side is saying grace = no more sin or recognition of sin (if I am understanding correctly), and the other tends to put too much focus on sin (if I am understanding the arguments correctly, which I may not be).

I think there is a middle ground where the two can meet. I think God's grace is infinite for us, but I think we should also be aware of our sins and work on them. This doesn't mean a constant fear of condemnation which the one side tends to assert to the other, and this doesn't mean ignore our sins altogether as the other side asserts. Gotta be a balance. I think both sides have good arguments in their own right, but again, both sides are taking their view to extremes.

In light of the cross, is sin really the issue?

I think yes and no. We are to grow in holiness and I believe part of that is the work of the Holy Spirit bringing to mind the things we do that are not godly. I don't think we can go on sinning and just say "that's okay, God doesn't mind". Just because we are made righteous in his sight through Christ, that doesn't mean he wants us to go on sinning. We know from scripture that God chastises those he loves. If we aren't being chastised and having our sins brought to mind, are we really in the faith?

Some seem to be arguing "you hyper focus on sin" and the others "you are hyper focusing on grace". I think we focus on both without being extreme. Even in our sin, we keep our eyes on the cross and realize God is merciful to us, but also corrects us and wants us to not sin and to be sanctified. We have to have a recognition of our sins in order to grow in holiness, but at the same time, we also know God's grace for us and that he sees us as righteous.

This means awareness of sin without fear of condemnation. That is the middle ground here.

My friend, if God were to bring to your mind all of your sins, you would be reduced to nothing more than a puddle of ooze. When we think of sins only as the nasty five and the dirty ten, that is when we think perhaps there is a chance we can work on those and everything will be okay. Which if true and attainable would mean you would no longer need God's grace.

I see the two extremes as Law and Grace. And I see no middle ground between them. No way to “balance” one against the other. It is strictly either/or, one or the other. You cannot have both.

Absolutely true. There is no grey here, there is no middle ground. It is like the Law of Polarity. Hot and cold, light and dark, sweet and then bitter. Any combination of the two nullify the other. You are either saved by Christ or you're attempting to save yourself, and the latter is impossible. There is no mixture here, for such would make grace no longer grace and works no longer works. It is an either or predicament and the word of God is clear that only one kind of righteousness saves and this is a righteousness that is of faith and not of works lest any man boast.

This made me lol. This is in essence how God called me to begin with and what brought me to repentance and faith. God made me aware of my wretched state and depravity and "reduced me to a pile of ooze". I'm eternally grateful for that. I am not talking about legalism or salvation by works. Simply the awareness of being a sinner and with God's help how to improve in my behavior. I don't believe that to be legalism by any stretch of the imagination.

I'll appeal again to Hebrews 12
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. [SUP]4 [/SUP]In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. [SUP]5 [/SUP]And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons?

“My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
nor be weary when reproved by him.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]For the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and chastises every son whom he receives.”

[SUP]7 [/SUP]It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? [SUP]8 [/SUP]If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. [SUP]9 [/SUP]Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? [SUP]10 [/SUP]For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. [SUP]11 [/SUP]For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

[SUP]12 [/SUP]Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, [SUP]13 [/SUP]and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. [SUP]14 [/SUP]Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. [SUP]15 [/SUP]See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled; [SUP]16 [/SUP]that no one is sexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal. [SUP]17 [/SUP]For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears.

Exactly. That's true for all of us. We all saw that in and of ourselves there is nothing good....and that hasn’t changed, it can't. The flesh is not eradicated at conversion, and it never improves, it never “gets better”.

I am not talking about legalism or salvation by works. Simply the awareness of being a sinner and with God's help how to improve in my behavior. I don't believe that to be legalism by any stretch of the imagination.

Better yet, see yourself as the forgiven, beloved and totally accepted child of God that you are...and allow Jesus to be who He is in and through you, by faith. Then your behavior will line up with who you are, as you manifest His holy and perfect character in your behavior.....unto the glory of God.
