you don't need that big horn...thing is, are you doing what you are doing for Christ or because you are afraid that maybe somebody somewhere has managed to bypass your puny little concept of God and believes scripture instead of manmade doctrines?

Is your God so weak that if you don't spray your venom everywhere, no one will get saved?

Tell me, how did God create? Did He make play dough and hang stuff in the sky with a sky hook?

or did He...gasp...SPEAK EVERYTHING INTO EXISTENCE...

wait...it was just mankind He made of the dust of the earth

that could explain alot I'm thinking

Yep..that's right..there are lot's of self-proclaimed heretic hunters on the internet. To them everyone is a heretic.

There are websites dedicated to the heretic Billy Graham. Billy Sunday, Charles Spurgeon, Charles Stanley, D.L. Moody, C.S. Lewis, John McArthur, Paul Washer, Joseph Prince, Bill Johnson, Martin Luther, John Calvin..etc..basically anyone who is known has a website dedicated to their "heresies"

There are even websites dedicated to the heretic apostle Paul because his epistles "conflict" with some of Jesus' words.

Basically these self-proclaimed heretic hunters have a beef about some thing with what someone else believes and so they are now "heretics". "If people don't believe the way that they do - they are heretics and they try to prove it with "their" version of what the scriptures say.."

It's the nature of the beast.

Where these types cross the line is when they turn a disagreement that they have with someone doctrinally on a secondary issue and turn it into "So and so is a heretic/satanist/controlled by a demon" type stuff.

Hmmm. isn't this pretty much a heresy-hunter hunter post? You are better than "they" are because you hunt "them down.

Truth is we bring up heresies sometimes because they are so close to the truth but not the truth, that even people who are seasoned in the Lord can't tell the difference. Or, actually, we can, but it's hard to put our finger on what's wrong with this picture. If seasoned believers can't figure it out, how many lambs walk off with the wolves?

Sort of like this post. It seems harmless enough, except for the history. The history is you take great pains to mock others who aren't like you, and yet keep trying to sound neutral at the same time. Always an "at least I'm not like them" attitude while pretending you're trying to reach those measly thems.

At least now, I remember why I ignored you. Nothing has changed.

I don't read heresy hunt sites anymore. I had a time that I did. I said to my ex: have you heard about Benny Hinn?
He said: no and I don't care. Stay away from those heresy hunt sites. What fruit do they have themselves? If a balanced preacher warns for false teaching I listen, but not people who just throw a bunch of names of false teachers on a site, while they know nothing. With the same ease they say a good teacher is a wolf. Pastors are to warn their flock and protect them for wolves. Not my task.

I agree...preach Christ and what He has done for us and we'll be able to spot the wrong things. We all see through a glass darkly now. Most of these self-proclaimed heretic hunters really just have a "doctrinal difference" which is most likely minor and so they attack them. It's just the nature of the beast.

Martin Luther, John Calvin were considered heretics by the Catholic Church.

They taught what the Holy Spirit said in the Scriptures, but yet they are considered heretics.

True...it's the nature of the beast.

For those that don't believe God wants to heal today - people that do believe that God wants to heal are called heretics.

For those that believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are NOT for today - those that do believe are labelled as heretics.

For those that believe you have to do the law to be saved - those that believe Jesus fulfilled the law are heretics.

Etc..etc...etc.

I'm definitely better than someone who starts a post for revenge then sits back and laughs while people tear each other apart

sound familiar?

you haven't ignored me...you are here, are you not?

alot of things have changed....if things don't change, they stagnate...capiche?

If this is a reference to over-the-top types of people and sites, then i agree. But if this is simply an attack on people who call out heresy when it's presented, then i disagree. But you make no distinction as to what exactly you are referring to and it could be taken either way.

I have to say what was said above. If you go out of your way to call out people who you accuse of being heresy hunters, and heresy hunters are people who go out of their way to call out those they accuse of heresy, then what is the difference between you and them? Is there not the same air of mockery and self righteousness in your post as can also be seen by certain 'heresy hunters'? Talking down to them. Snide cheap shots. Equal amounts of vitriol? I'm just trying to see the difference between your post and those you accuse of, and i can't.

I liked your post...cause basically we believe the same, but I disagree

there is a satanic agenda to destroy anything supernatural...God is SPIRIT...not one of many...

people have a FORM of godliness but they deny the power of it

so, if it is the nature of some beast, it is the nature of the serpent

they don't want to believe in anything they cannot touch, see, smell or kick.....

the Bible says don't forbid speaking in tongues...so what do they do? they forbid it!

and on it goes

just get out the popcorn

I believe scripture...my background is Brethren and I don't attack

I am not WOF...or anything else that someone would call heresy

I don't have to make a distinction now do I...cause there are already all kinds of responses here...people are gonna cough up what they have brooding inside

me? what do I have inside? a real dislike for liars and people who sound all religious while having an agenda

you can always start you own thread and see what kind of vultures gather

you state you HAVE to say...no you don't...no one HAS to say anything...people generally say what they want to...and try to whitewash it by pointing somewhere else

Yep. The kind of response i expected. Defensive and rude.

Well, i still have no clue what you are referencing, so obviously Some distinction is to be made. But obviously you are unsure yourself as you are willing to let people make up their own theories, as opposed to taking a solid stance as to what you mean. But somehow by letting vagueness control your position you feel that you stand is firm and unwaivering and solid.
And i guess this thread is not you attacking at all? No post, created out of thin air, dripping heavily with sarcasm while talking down to anyone, right?

I came here to understand your position. Instead i was talked down to and told vagueness was part of the religious agenda, along with the haughty tone, and to go start my own thread.

really...you don't have a clue do you

go judge yourself please cause you are doing a real bad job judging me

judging others is the meat and potatoes of some folks here and usually those who have been here longer than the Flintstones

Thank you for proving my point. :)

Oh, and by the way, i just a few minutes ago saw the WoF post, since i had just logged on. I was unaware of it when i posted my first response, and therefore had no idea your thread was likely stemming from that. Which is probably part of my initial confusion. So, yes, you could say that, at the time i posted, i 'had no clue', though clearly your intention on saying it to me was more of a personal attack than a realization that perhaps i just did not know some piece of pivotal information. But somehow i'm the one doing a bad job at judging. Even as you insult me to prove how wrong i am at judging the way you insult people.

Your hypocritical post with blatant attacks, your unwillingness to provide me with understanding, even when i clearly said i was asking so that i Could understand, and you responding to that with personal attacks, rather than trying to help, shows a truth of your character that i find distasteful. Rather than help people understand, you insult them for not understanding.
So with that fruit you've shown, i'll go do a bad job at judging you elsewhere. Someplace where your venom (such as you accuse others of) can't reach me. Perhaps i'll find someone who will help when it is sought, rather than condemn me for asking for help, even when the source of confusion is the person condemning me.
Have fun in your vague thread being non-judgmental, not mean or critical or insulting. :)

Perhaps part of the reason why I don't like threads made about other threads or something that happened in other thread. If you have an issue, state it in the thread you have the issue with. That's my personal opinion anyway.

so that's what you are doing, right?

I have never seen a thread like this one here...I actually DO post in threads I have an issue with

I have an issue right here and now

At least 2 people have attacked me...neither one of which have contributed other than to attack me

It's not for the reasons they state either

there are absolutely threads I avoid...I don't attack the folks making them

two people have already personally attacked me for posting this

why would that be when thread after thread is started about what people think are heresies?
