Urgent Prayer request for a new Christian being persecuted in India right now!!

I ask all of you to join me in prayer for a new Christian in India who at this moment is being held by Muslim police. His name is Rias Muhammad. He was led to the Lord by a dear friend of mine a few weeks ago. His part of India is controlled by a Muslim majority. His Muslim parents turned him in. He is now in prison being spat upon and beaten. So far he is staying true to Jesus and will not renounce Him.

[SUP]12 [/SUP]Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.

Sadly this is happening all over the Muslim world. This young man was given an hour to convert back to Islam and renounce Jesus or "suffer the consequences." I am amazed by the level of faith and strength of those of our brothers and sisters in Christ who are enduring severe persecution and tribulation for Jesus in the Muslim world.

I ask all of you to pray for him. My God deliver Him. He needs all our prayers. Please join me in praying for him now. Thank you!

I pray for him too and all in a similar position to him. May God comfort them and give them His strength in the day of adversity. Amen.

Lord Jesus protect this new spiritual life, cause the officials to release him
and prepare a place for him to go, a place of safety. Wherever he is at the
moment let him know your love and peace.

Update!

Thank you all for your prayers. PRAISE THE LORD!!! Rias was released after several hours of police brutality. He was allowed to go home where his family continued to pressure him to convert back to Islam. He says that he cannot because he is now a servant of Christ. He sends along his thanks to all who prayed for him and I in return thank each of you.

He sent a video with his testimony but unfortunately I cannot post it to this site. Praise be to God for He answers the prayers of those who come to Him.

Thank you Lord for answered prayer, I pray that you will find this person a
place where he can be still before you and learn from you without fear.
I pray also for his family that their hearts will be softened and that he will find
favour among them. Give him the strength and courage to continue in this
new life he now has.

Sister Miri linked me to this thread from a thread I started about Christian persecution in the News Forum. Im sorry I missed it but am so glad to hear the good news! I will keep him in prayer and we that God that he was let go. Please keep us up to date.
