This is a charge rallied around against the Reformed. So, let's see if it has merit.

And, to be clear, this is only for the Reformed, and your name will be visible to avoid playing games with the question.

We are commanded to evangelize, we dont know who the elect are so we should always preach, knowing that God will certainly save the elect through our preaching.

[h=1]Mark 16:15New International Version (NIV)[/h]15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

I pushed yes by accident.
No, evangelism is how God spreads the Gospel through us.

Its a difficult question for me.

I do not skip it, but I certainly am not hysterical about it like "I must evangelize, I must tell everybody or else they will die in hell" etc.

I trust God that He will use me when He will need to. And that all His elect ones will hear what they need to hear. I am trying to be ready to tell the message, but I am not trying to "save everybody I meet or know".

---

P.S. I am not a perfect Calvinist, I am more theologically mixed, but I think I am in the same category regarding the question.

Knowing that God has chosen His people from before the world; 1 Corinthians 1:26-31; Acts 18:9-10; John 11:52; 2 Thessalonians 2:13 ; Ephesians 1:4 is a fact that will and should develop confidence in preaching the Gospel, as God uses this means to save his elect:

Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel, for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound! Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 2 Timothy 2:8-10

It's not good bro. William Lane Craig is noted for this teaching. You can probably search for James White and WLC and find a debate.

Molinism, named after 16th Century Spanish Jesuit theologian Luis de Molina, is a religious doctrine which attempts to reconcile the providence of God with human free will. William Lane Craig and Alvin Plantinga, despite not being Roman Catholic, are some of its best known advocates today, though other important Molinists include Alfred Freddoso and Thomas Flint. In basic terms, Molinists hold that in addition to knowing everything that does or will happen, God also knows what His creatures would freely choose if placed in any circumstance. wiki

Monilism takes away the sovernity of God by claiming that God makes decisions based on what would happen, that God makes decisions on what ifs.

I am not sure if I understand. Any example?

I am not a calvinist, however I reject this accusation that they do not evangelize. Charles Spurgeon was reformed and he sure did evangelize.
However, today the situation is very different, the reformed are definately on the decline (they still do evangelize though), and charismatics are on the up and up, due to them putting insane soul-winning hours and some (NOT ALL) unfortunately utilizing tactics such as name it claim it wealth now to attract converts.
Sometimes I feel like the only group within christianity that is booming is pentecostals and non-denominational charismatics, that is how it seems atleast..

We can all improve on soul-winning, a great example of this would be the independent fundie baptist churches in America, they put in a lot of hours.

As for the question, if I was calvinist I certainly would not evangelize, I feel it would be pointless and the fact that I could not honestly tell people Jesus died for them (since limited atonement) would make me not want to do it.

Not in the mood for debates so don't even bother, just stating my opinion and view on it.

It's like saying that the circumstance would stand in the way of gods will.
Well, God is choosing our circumstances... because He knows how we would behave in different ones... or...?

These teachings happen because people don't like God being God. They loathe Sovereignty, election, predestination &c. They're trying to get God off the hook, lol!
