There is a 'test' that you can take: Google" Peter Wagner gifts of the spirit".

My highest scores are in administration, prophecy, teaching, exhortation, and deliverance...not necessarily in that order.

You misunderstand. The Spirit is the gift. All gifts are given when needed in the pursuit of my calling. I have at times evangelized other times exorcized while still others been poor or persecuted. The gifts come as the calling leads and the work needs. The Spirit provides.

actually this is what i mean. God gives us each of the gifts in certain purposes like when you see someone needs to be healed, we can pray for them to be healed. And when it is the right time God will give us a prophecy when needed to show the Church what is too come.

Knowledge in the biblical understanding or the cultural understanding?
i am still learning about it....gift of knowledge is something from the Spirit. Every Christian should have a little knowledge about the bible and Jesus Christ and God and everything that surounds that subject. but the gift of knowledge is having more understand or more knowledge about the truth, and can use it for testifying, preaching, teaching, etc. If you are well in tact with the gift of knowledge that means you know more of a deeper understanding or a deeper truth about God's word than some people as believers.

I also remembered how God showed me about a hebrew word, i did not know what it meant but i felt compelled or the desire to say it. later i looked it up and it WAS AN ACTUAL WORD IN HEBREW!!! The word was used back then by the Jews. For some reason God wanted me to know.

there was another time i believe He showed me about what the Trinity was, before i did not know what was exactly the Trinity.

I am told not to speak out loud about what i know in church, but my knowledge feels important to my church and they take it the wrong way. but the pastor i told him about it. I have this zealous act of speaking on and on about the gospel or the bible, my pastor says people do not want all that stuff they only want the simple understanding or something like that.

The bible say that the gifts of the SPIRIT comes as He see fit... so we are not to claim them as our gifts but as one has said; We have the Gift of the SPIRIT.... the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. And if you read the Word you will see that it say.. the Holy Spirit " Manifesting " So if you try to perform anything without being lead of the Holy Ghost and he choose NOT to Manifest.. Then do you say you have that Gift... Now if you ask the question to how has the Holy Ghost used me in performing the Gifts of God through me as a vessel I would say the Holy Ghost has manifested in prophecy, very powerful discerning of spirits, healings, speaking in tongues, praying in tongues, singing in tongues, power spiritual warfare, word of knowledge, casting out devils, giving, edifying, Holy Spirit prayers, entering into the ralm of the spirit, seeing angels and demons, the Lord has allowed me through the manifestation of the Holy Ghost to experience many things. in which I am grateful. does not happen all the time. but when the Lord is willing to use me I am ready, and willing.... the ableness comes from the Holy Spirit...... So I say; I have No Gifts, No power... But as Long as the Holy Spirit of the living God lives in me there is no telling what He will do through me. Praise are God's and i will in no form of the way take none from Him. As Peter said after the healing of the man at the gate beautiful.... Do not look at me as if I had any power... this is from the power of the Holy Ghost......

I cannot really call any gift spacificly to myself.
I have had each gift touch others through me many times.
It has always seemed, that whatever is needed is given when needed.
Not from me, but the best way I can describe it , is through me.
I only know, simply because there is a greatness to the gift, that I know I cannot do on my own.
One thing Id like to know if it is a gift of the Spirit?
This has hapened a few times, I take a persons hand, and know their time here is short, I can feel a great peace, power, life , joy and like a warm light near them.
These people pass shortly after this has happened.
Is this a gift in the Holy Spirit?

God bless.

27Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
28And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
29Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?
30Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
31But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

which is the more excellent way????

1 Corinthians 13

1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
5does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil
6does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
9For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
10But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

i did not claim my gift on my own....before you judge me think about it. i found out what my gift was...

This gift i know from before but did not know i had it before. it came from the Spirit not man.

This gift i know from before but did not know i had it before. it came from the Spirit not man.
also people have two opinions about Gifts that i believe as well.

One side of the children of God say that what ever God reveals to us is what we have and there is no gift, saying that we can prophecy, speak in tongues, etc all at the life time of our lives. when needed God gives us a prophecy, or we start speaking in tongues or something else.

The other side of the Children of God says that God gives us an inheritance or a piece of God's power in our lives to use for His glory. God knows all and does all like foresee, speak in many tongues, cast out demons, etc. but this belief is where God gives His children part of His power as to the heir, like a Father gives His inheritance to His son because the son is the child of that Father as a heir. Heaven is also our inheritance as children.

I like both ideas but i want God to show me the truth, it might be both.
