I just recieved yet another one of these emails that gets forwarded around about some christian coming up against secular resistance. Its an email about a guy who wrote to a tv organization and got a rude response and it is circulating as if it is true in its entirety. He did get a reponse but int he email I got the ENTIRE response was not reported just the response that made him look like some kind of hero.

Taking something someone says out of context is one of the greatest weapons of the world in order to make people look bad and I HATE when Christians use this weapon to make themselves look better in their position. We cannot fight using the same weapons as the enemy. If you won't wield the whole truth then better to keep your mouth shut.

It was this story snopes.com: Jim Neugent -- The Practice which I got sent by some people I know are Christians who even said they looked for it online and couldn't find any info, when I spent all of 1 minute and found it immediately.

Just because a story sounds good and tugs are your spiritual heart strings doesn't mean its true, it only collapses on us that much more when we don't stand on the ROCK but build our case on sinking sand.

I remember on another site that I was tempted to do that same thing and I didn't exactly do it but I didn't admit that I couldn't find what I believed I knew was in the bible on the subject discussed, so i'm not sure how guilty I am about doing this. since then I've had lots of opportunities to leave things out and I choose to show everything even if it doesn't show that i'm right, many times in doing this I find more truth than I could get by just simply sticking to my preconceptions about some things. The truth is not always pretty or gratifying but the truth is still the truth. The truth is sometimes more glorious than some fantastic fiction as well.

it is important to understand the WHOLE picture and what people are saying and expressing their beliefs, but in the end God will judge and deal with everyone according to their faith and works.

Thanks for the reminder we should use God's weapons (prayer and the sword of Spirit which is the Word of God) not Satan's when combating lies and deceptions.

Dear Friends,

God's Word in the Bible by the presence of the Holy Spirit,

drives away error and keeps the soul from the errors of the devil.

God's Word in the Bible, the NT (The Holy Gospel of St. John):

"But the Comforter, Who is the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall
teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:26

"But when the Comforter is come, Whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, Who proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me. And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with Me from the beginning." John 15:26-27

"Howbeit when the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come." John 16:13

God bless us, all of us, in Christ Jesus in His shed blood of the Cross, in the mercy of His Cross and His glorious Resurrection from the dead; Amen and Amen. In Erie PA USA May 2011 AD Scott R. Harrington
