I'm obviously bored but being serious now....hair lenght is not important. It depends on the culture though, but at least in most countries long hair or short hair don't represent the wife-husband submission dynamic. At the end, God look at the hearts of his people.

kayM, I like what you said above, but I I challenge you now to look in scripture, for God specifically says guys should not have long hair. I am not caring to be right, we know that, your very smart posting on c.c.

Now, yes, that said, the Lord leads, and, your life is a personal relationship with Christ, which we will do , to.the letter of the law , as He leads, because we are living and walking with Him, milady You never know when God may call you to the inner city streets, where a lot of hippy not meaning to be derogatory) hair cut people are and reaching them only, the Lord will lead you, is,by having long hair . Follow Him :)

It is written. Jesus had long hair, so whats good for Jesus is good for me. If you don't believe Jesus had long hair, look for yourself its in the word. Not cutting hair was a vow of people of nazareth. I have long hair and beard and am not ashamed.

Jesus was a Nazarine not a Nazarite. Jesus drank wine and Nazarites could not drink wine. Being a Nazarite is a vow not a custom of Nazareth. The spelling is different like Texas and taxes. What you said is like saying "only people in Texas pay taxes." Your statement doesn't make since. They are not the same words.

Wine is not strong drink. Have you ever heard of liquor? Jesus would not drink whiskey for example but wine is not strong. There is no Biblical evidence that Jesus had long hair. According to 1 Corinthians 11 it is a shame for a man to have long hair. You are saying Jesus was shameful. I got a hair cut when I got saved because my hair was past my shoulders. So I don't have a problem telling women they need to conform to Scripture; I had to conform aswell.

Bottom line is simple, Christ peeps: The Lord leads, and, what is He telling you about whatever in scripture-- your hair, your adornments, etc. ? ? ? He will be clear in His telling, for God does not author confusion.

He leads our life no matter what direction we may go , to cut our hair or not , etc., etc. is between you and Him in your personal relaionship, for ONLY He knows which way is best.
===================================================>
We are directionless without He who provides all direction :) If you claimed Him yours, you know His way.

Proverbs 16:3 parallels my green-versing there ^ .

One last thought I will leave you. Sampson had long hair which provided him his strength. So, yes, yes, yes, yes, God can use ANYONE or ANY THING to bring blessing to you and glory to Him is how we should always want things to be :)

God does not look at the hair. He looks at the HEART.

That is a good point.

Leviticus 10:6 says (NIV):
6 Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, “Do not let your hair become unkempt and do not tear your clothes, or you will die and the Lord will be angry with the whole community. But your relatives, all the Israelites, may mourn for those the Lord has destroyed by fire.
But that's not referring to long hair, the KJV says:

6 And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord hath kindled.
And yet:

Levitcus 19:27:
27 “‘Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.
Jeremiah 7:29:
29 “‘Cut off your hair and throw it away; take up a lament on the barren heights, for the Lord has rejected and abandoned this generation that is under his wrath.
1 Corinthians 11:5-7:
5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved. 6 For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.
7 A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.

1 Corinthians 11 is the text.
I don’t care how long a woman’s hair is, other than she doesn’t look very nice, in my opinion, if she shaves her head or wears her hair really, really short, as if someone had taken a razor to her head instead of a pair of scissors.

The bible gives no physical description of Jesus other than he looked like the typical Jewish person of that time, and nothing was certainly written about the length of his hair.

Little country church on the edge of townDoo-do- do-dn-do-do-do
People comin' everyday from miles around
For meetin's and for Sunday school
And it's very plain to see
It's not the way it used to be

Preacher isn't talkin' 'bout religion no more
He just wants to praise the Lord
People aren't as stuffy as they were before
They just want to praise the Lord
And it's very plain to see
It's not the way it used to be
(From: eLyrics.net)

They're talkin' 'bout revival and the need for love
That little church has come alive
Workin' with each other for the common good
Puttin' all the past aside
Long hair, short hair, some coats and ties
People finally comin' around
Lookin' past the hair and straight into the eyes
People finally comin' around
And it's very plain to see
