okay so i made this thread knowing i will offend many people, but these things must be said. I have seen people on here who claim to know god yet do not understand his nature. This is who god is- He is a kind and gentle loving father, patient and giving. He finds our flaw and brokeness adorable because it's through those he is strong. But Some of you still cling to the old testament ways, what i mean is you focus so much on the law and being obedient- so much on learning scripture you never learn the reason all this was made. Don't get me wrong it's good to do and know these things, but some of you focus so much on this all you do not have his love in you. Those law and every word of god was written in love, that is why the bible is like fire. Many of you do not see the god i see, nor know the god i know. I mean some of you have been christians for many years but do not know him, i have been a christian for less than a year and yet i know him so well. Why is that? It's because of what i have been saying all along, Seek his heart above all else. You must be willing to quit being stubborn and admit you might be wrong, you must humble yourself before him. Now for those of you who do know god you know this does not apply to you- you know who you are:] But for those of you this offends this is probably because i am speaking to you- you know who you are. I say all these things out of love because there isn't much time left. You can know all the scripture you want but if there is no love it's not going to matter, Some of you see yourselves as righteous and upright. But who is righteous and upright if they are not childlike before god?

It doesn't matter how long someone has been calling themselves a Christian. God is not a respecter of tenure or status. And some people are more receptive to the Truth than others. Many are blinded by their prejudices, fear, anger, pain, etc. But there's no need to worry about them. People will chose to believe what they want. Wisdom and understanding can't be forced. It must be accepted when one is ready to receive it. With some people it seems it's just not going to sink in. Again, no need to worry. That's their problem.

I don't try to force feed anyone. I do instruct my children, and I feel it's a responsibility to share my faith. But while I care for others, I don't see it as my responsibility to make them see things as I do. I accept that my own opinions may be off the mark from time to time. And I may make comments that cause offense. I'm sorry to say I have that human failing. :)

That having been said, I see your point and I think it's well stated. God Bless! :)

LOL it's all good:] It's our human failings that make us beautiful in the eye's of the lord. I too make comments sometimes that would be better off not said, and really i do not know what came over me when i made this thread. I don't even know why i made it it's like something possessed me or something? I do know the desire i have for peoples eye's to be opened so they can know him as i do but if that why i made this thread i could not tell you like i said it's like something possessed me

God doesn't find out flaws and brokeness to be 'adorable' but he works with them and gives us his strength. But he loves us coming to him with hands open in honesty. Otherwise, a quality reminder to us all. If we've grown up in Christian homes, we can easily take God's Love and Word for granted. You've more clearly seen the other side, life without God's Love, so you're going to do all you can to stay in his prescence. Good on you, Blain.

I think you made a good point. Like many posts, it depends on how people receive it. Some will see it as condescending, but I don't see it that way. That's because I've seen enough of your posts to know that's not the type of person you are. You just want people to stop having such hard hearts and love one another as we should. :)

I agree with what you but you did leave one thing out but its because you havent gotten there yet... most people feel what you feel now when they first come to christ after a while with almost everyone the new starts to wear off an ether you slide back from god or you try an dig deeper into him an try harded to help others find him its at that point where alot of people pay more attentionnto scripture than love some will eventually relize an they wil, renew there relationship with god an be more of the loving christians we should others just contunie to focus on scripture an telling other people scripture..

Well when you know such a heart as god's and are filled with such a love you are not able to keep it to yourself, Believe me it's impossible to resist not spreading and craving for others to see what you see.

Oh no, I have already past that point. I used to love the spiritual high and would freak out when i could not feel him near. But he gave me more solid foods and now i even when i cannot feel him near and even when i cannot feel the love pouring out of me i know it's there. Otherwise why would i continue to be just like him? Why would i continue to seek his heart?

True but we also have to remember everyone is different so their faith may be different too. I see where your coming from, however the thing I am searching for is not something that is easily obtained. The love of god is for all of us to have and honestly to me it's deeper than a feeling. But while i seek god's heart the thing i am after that is not easily obtained is a relationship with him that not many have been able to have. But the people I am talking about are prideful, and boastful. They slam scripture in your face to show you just how wrong you are. They say it's for god but it's really for themselves.
