The Levitical (ceremonial) laws have been set aside (Heb 7:18-19) and abolished (Eph 2:15),

the Mosaic Covenant made obsolete (Heb 8:13), and

the Ten Commandments are written on our hearts instead of tablets of stone (Ro 13:8-10).
The The Ten are filled in one LOVE
Romans 13:10Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
The greatest of the Ten is Love first the Lord thy God and the second is like the first your neighbor as Christ loves you
This is fullfillment of all the law of Moses are these two are not in the Ten commandments. They are the fulfillment of all 314 laws
Under a commandment Sister puts one under Law and when one is under Law they are under a curse because flesh is weak and cannot obey Law as in being 100% perfect but Love that is written on our hearts from God is the Love of 1 Cor 13 that is unnatural to man flesh or woman flesh, and flesh can' even concieve of it
That is wht we are called to be born again of the Spirit of God by the resurrection of Christ at the cross of Christ

The saints Keep the Commandments of God and Have Faith in Yahshua the Messiah.

You are teaching disobedience and you have no 'evidence' because the Messiah Himself said we should Keep and Teach even the least of the Commandments.

I don't believe you over the words of the Messiah, for it is He that brings us Truth and Grace not you.
Tell me what is the total fulfillment of the Law? Did Christ fulfill the Law and Prophets of the Old Testament? Is it by and through him finished then or not? What does the resurrection of christ bring? Are we to wroship in the Spirit of God or by the letter as was done in the Old Covenant?

As belevers the law of the Spirit is written on our hearts (God's nature via the new birth) Rom 8:4, Jer 31:33
Yes and Christ is the end of
Romans 10:4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

have you not read,

Gen 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Abraham received the promise because he obeyed God.

Abraham learned to obey God, Yes he stumbled but notice he got to the point where he had such faith that he was willing to sacrifice his own son, the son of the promise. So it is with us all, we grow into the likeness of Jesus until self is dead and Christ lives in us. Then we shall be like Him and sin not as John says.

Okay, good answer, but what does that have to do with the ten commandments. Abraham lived by faith yes or no. By so much faith that he was willing to kill his son believing that God would raise him from the dead. Coming from a family that worshipped a wooden statue. That is great faith.
And waht God forbade Abraham to do he did himself with his own Son and as Abraham knew God could raise his Son from the dead God did also with his own Son WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes Abraham lived by faith, Noah preached righteousness that comes by faith. Adam and Eve had Faith in the messiah to come. Faith has always and will always be the only avenue of salvation. grace through Faith in Jesus.
And obedience is none other than a by-product a result by Faith
Anyone show me your Faith by your works and I will show you my works by ny Faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross unto the resurrected life that he gives all that beleive counted to you as being righteous without aby works of our own it is a gift period. And only the Jewish first chosen were given the Law to begin with the Gentile were never put under Law of Moses

You are right. Fulfill: to meet the requirements of (a business order); to put into effect : execute; live up to; to measure up to : satisfy; to convert into reality; to develop the full potentialities of
Christ by the cross did this for you
Matthew 5:17[ The Fulfillment of the Law ] “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
In verse 18 is waht is left for the law breakers
Romans 10:4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Romans 1:17For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith
Galatians 3:11But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Hebrews 10:38Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Notice this:

Israel was saved from slavery to Egypt first They were baptized into the sea and then they were given the commandments of God.

Notice the type, Israel was saved through the blood of the lamb so that they did not have to die (passover). then they were baptized into the Red sea. baptized in the blood of the lamb. then when they were no longer slaves to the Egyptians, then God gave them His laws which He wrote on stone.

so it is with us. when we come to the cross we behold the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (Jesus died on passover). Then we are baptized (Out of Jesus side flowed blood and water/red sea) into his death and then we also live with Him as He is raised from the dead. It is then through the gift of the Holy Spirit that we receive Christ in our hearts by Faith and He lives His obedience to Gods law through us by writing His law on our hearts.

Abraham's obedience was the evidence of his faith!
his faith in God and God's promises.
not the other way around.

that passage you quote is for Isaac's encouragement concerning the promises and provision.
of course Isaac is encouraged to be obedient - God was saying, He made promises to Abraham and Abraham believed God and obeyed, and everything He promised came to pass.

but the promises to Abraham were not a result of his obedience!
the promises were made by God and Abram believed Him.

how do you obey/do according to something or someone you don't believe?
you'll have to show God saying to Abraham something like "Abram, if you do this, i'll do that" - He doesn't say that.
He does tell us Abraham believed THEN obeyed.

And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

^ the first time belief (faith) is mentioned in scripture, AND the first time righteousness is mentioned.

and the clear message is faith in/taking God at His Word is credited as righteousness.

.....

Romans 4:1-3
What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

Romans 4:9-10
Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised.

Romans 4:19-24
And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead.

Galatians 3:5-7
Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?; just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.

that's not what the BIble says.

its says the law is a tutor to bring people to Christ......

Read it in context of my post before that one. Yes the law points me to Jesus. but its not mine or part of me until after I am saved. Law of condemnation, but after I am saved law of liberty.

People really need to know that fulfill doesn't mean destroy...
Amen.

It was the handwritten document which was used as a basis of judgement (thus dividing us further away from God as inferred by the word "enmity") that was abolished.

Ephesians 2:15 "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace.."

Thus we see why James counseled so strongly that those whose consciences were compelling them to yet observe parts of that Old Law ought to refrain from judging others on the basis of that Old Law.

James 2:12-13 "So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment."

James 4:11 "Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge."

James 3:13 "Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace."

This was the very reason God gave that handwritten law to man. God knew that is how man would use it. Every man would say to himself, "I know the law, for I have read and studied it and am not like those who do not care as much as I to do so!" And thus that law in the hands of man would fan mans' pride to amplify mans' pride so that it could then become clearly seen, seeking to control everything outside of themselves whilst believing that they were special.

What did it result in? Matthew 9:36 "But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd."

That is what God knew it would result in. Thus thru that the mans' flesh abusing that handwritten law God created many who could see that there was something wrong. They would then want to know, "Why did it not work?"

Enters Christ Jesus with the answer and the formation of a new and better covenant.

Compare what I wrote here to Romans chapter 14. That is the main chapter of Paul's writings which most loudly highlights this.

Hi Ariel82,

You are correct.

Believers are not under the law as we also see in Rom 8:2, Rom 10:4, Gal 5:18, 1Tim 1:9.

Hence our righteousness is not in any way determined by our obedience to the law.
Our faith is counted for righteousness, instead, (Rom 4:5).

So we should beware of the leaven (doctrines of works of the law, Matt 16:12) that some try to lure believers back under.

Yes and this new law new covenat and new priesthood is not of the Old it is new and it is the Law of Love God's typr best described in 1Cor. 13 not the letter but the truth of all the Law and is spread about all over us as new creations in Christ Jesus being born again here and now, recieving this type of Love that no flesh and blood can and never could
Love God's type is the fulfillment of the Law in the born again ones by Faith in the operation of god at the cross where Chrisat was raised from the dead which is for us here and noiw today to be able to walk fulltime in the Spirit of God where no sin can enter in. This is waht we are to learn and be because we are from God the Father's perspective because of Christ's sacrifice for us those that believe

I ask this... No matter what the LAW says or where it came from.... Does the Spirit of God know how to live PERFECT and without SIN? Yes He does. What LAW will make the Holy Spirit of God as sinner? Only ones in mortal minds.... And that is no law! So If God gives me HIS Spirit to REMAIN or RESIDE in me, what law will I break? What sin will I commit?

Do you see that the LOVE OF GOD, and the BORN OF GOD, gets something that makes them HOLY and RIGHTEOUS and PERFECT... God gives them something that makes them GODLY... WITHOUT SIN.... And it is that SOMETHING that FULFILL THE LAW, EVEN GOD's LAW.... And His law is.... BE PERFECT!!!!
