Who is Death?

Hebrews 2:14-15
4 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
KJV

Revelation 9:11
11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
KJV

Abaddon: NT:3 Abaddon (ab-ad-dohn'); of Hebrew origin [OT:11]; a destroying angel:
KJV - Abaddon.

OT:11 'abaddown (ab-ad-done'); intensive from OT:6; abstract, a perishing; concrete, Hades: KJV - destruction.

Apollyon: NT:623
Apolluon (ap-ol-loo'-ohn); active participle of NT:622; a destroyer (i.e. Satan): KJV - Apollyon.

NT:622
apollumi (ap-ol'-loo-mee); from NT:575 and the base of NT:3639; to destroy fully (reflexively, to perish, or lose), literally or figuratively: KJV - destroy, die, lose, mar, perish.

Death, was Lucifer (bright morning star) one of the 4 Cherubs on the alter of GOD Almighty, prince of the air, in which in this generation, we can pretty much ascertain that this means, prince of communications; as Satanism in its simplest form begins with ill communication, and then only gets worse from there. (thou shalt not lie)

Death/Satan/Devil/Appolyon/False morning star/ the dragon, the serpent, etc... is the only one that is sentenced to perish by name, so far.

Their are 3 other fallen angels that are going to perish as well that are not even worthy of a name. Rev:16 13-16: And I saw 3 unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

For they are the spirit of devils, working miracles (signs) which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth , and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. 666

Paul said that Jesus ‘partook of blood and flesh’ that “through his death he might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil; and that he might emancipate all those who for fear of death were subject to slavery all through their lives.” (Hebrews 2:14, 15) In brief, Paul meant that Satan, personally or through his agents, can cause the physical death of humans. In harmony with that, Jesus called Satan “a manslayer when he began.” (John 8:44) As “the one having the means to cause death,” Satan got control of Judas Iscariot and then used the Jewish leaders and the Romans to execute Jesus. -Luke 22:3; John 13:26, 27.

[/SUP]At Revelation 9:11 this Hebrew word is transliterated into the English text. There we read concerning the symbolic plague of locusts that they have “a king, the angel of the abyss.” In Hebrew his name is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.”

In Hebrew the word 'avad·dohn' means “destruction” and may also refer to “the place of destruction.” It appears in the original Hebrew text a total of five times, and in four of the occurrences it is used to parallel “the burial place,” “Sheol,” and “death.” (Psalms 88:11; Job 26:6; 28:22; Proverbs 15:11) The word 'avad·dohn' in these texts evidently refers to the destructive processes that ensue with human death, and these scriptures indicate that decay or destruction takes place in Sheol, the common grave of mankind. At Job 31:12 'avad·dohn' designates the damaging effect of an adulterous course. Compare Proverbs 6:26-28, 32; 7:26, 27.

At Revelation 9:11, however, the word “Abaddon” is used as the name of “the angel of the abyss.” The corresponding Greek name Apollyon means “Destroyer.” In the past century there were efforts made to show that this text prophetically applied to individuals such as Emperor Vespasian, Muhammad, and even Napoleon, and the angel was generally regarded as “satanic.” It should be noted, however, that at Revelation 20:1-3 the angel having “the key of the abyss” is shown to be God’s representative from heaven, and rather than being “satanic,” he binds and hurls Satan into the abyss. Commenting on Revelation 9:11, The Interpreter’s Bible says: “Abaddon, however, is an angel not of Satan but of God, performing his work of destruction at God’s bidding.”

Why would anyone believe that the Devil has any power over life and death?

Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
Job 2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Job 2:6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

God told Satan how far he could go and Satan was only allowed to go that far. He was not allowed to kill Job.

Nope, sin results in death. Sin is the transgression of God's Law...

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

and the result of this transgression is death...

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
