Don't forget that Jesus said that in His kingdom there are wheat and tares, genuine believers and non-believers, He will divide them up in the end. That's what you see here.

All men are created in God's image... Morality comes from God... All men have morality by that sense... So to say that nonchristians can be more moral is not hurtful or 'revelatory'... Just read the accounts of religious leaders in the bible...

I understand that my post jumped around and did not fluently glue the points together; however, I honestly think you are intelligent enough to follow what I have said...

How do you know your not one of the tears (I'm not saying you are or aren't)? I'm sure that the ones who are tears don't think they are of that group, but of the wheat.

I see the silliest issues turned complicated the simplest questions turned to an 100 day old topic that has nothing related to the original issue , almost like there are tares here to agitate or confuse believers that is why we must study to stand fast against the enemy within our own mist

And the so called tares may not be the tares.
Those who get confused easily just may be the tares.
Anyone that can become easily confused are not believers at all, but, tares.

devisive thread.... REMEMBER in the story of the wheat and the tares... even the angels are told to not separate them until the LAST DAY. Who among men thinks they have the wisdom to separate what God has deemed unwise to separate?

It's the internet. Typically where internet culture is cultivated people realize that not everyone is going to have the same point of view. I don't know why, but that security is nullified here. It's a constant warzone because let's face it — it's religion. Anything that you see is just subject to opinion and exegetical orthodoxy based around someone's interpretation... God forbid someone should have a different interpretation to them.

interesting thought: if people forsook the internet and actually interacted with one another they'd have the same problem

It's all about our filters. And gnats. Get that gnat out of your soup, friend! Never mind the camel. :)

I go in to some of these threads and before I realize it, I have gnat carcasses all about me and my mouth tastes like camel meat. Have I ever had camel meat? Nope. This is not literal, of course. :) It is then that I bow out of the thread and never open it again. Never. Despite the temptation. Because, straining at gnats is a waste of time.

Now, there are other things that are the really big issues and those, I am not ashamed to say, are ones I will argue about most vehemently. I guess I should be ashamed...arguing is not the best method. :)

Or they may be new Christians who are struggling to accurately understand. They run across so many different interpretations that anyone who is new can get confused.

Blessings

The tares are already identified. It's just a matter of time that they will be pulled. Why they are not pulled now? It's because the wheat might be pulled along with them.
They are among Christians for a reason. To test their faith and understanding of Yahweh.
Yeshua said narrow is the way and history has shown that the majority is not always right so I pay more attention to the minority.

The wheat and the weeds parable is not written so one might fear if they're really genuine, a wheat or a weed (tare). This misses the point entirely. The weeds are sown by Satan, they know they are weeds, and God knows, and the angels will know. If you are not a believer in Christ, you know that you don't believe, you know that you are a weed. Likewise if you believe, you know you're genuine, you know you're wheat. Assurance is of the essence of salvation. The point is not to ask whether one is a wheat or weed, the point is to recognize that there are wheat and weeds and so in Christ's kingdom there will be genuine and fake and the conflicts that this causes. Because the world will know we are Christians by our love for one another, one point of evidence is that if someone doesn't seem to love a brother or sister, then you may question whether they are a wheat or a weed.

I think the genuine Christian reference comes to play in a different verse regarding separating the wheat from the chaff, as the chaff will be carried off in the wind (burned up in fire) and the weightier wheat will remain behind.

Matthew [SUP]3:11-12 [/SUP]“I baptize with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I’m not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. He is ready to separate the chaff from the wheat with his winnowing fork. Then he will clean up the threshing area, gathering the wheat into his barn but burning the chaff with never-ending fire.”

You sure? He will say on that day to those who thought they are wheat: away from me you who practice lawlessness.

Isn't the greatest contradiction that Christ would leave His glory to die on the cross of Calvary for sinful men?
